My brother and I attended the PGA in NY recently and stayed in this hotel and it was really good however the dining experience especially under the leadership of Diane D was phenomenal! Very attentive with attention to detail, very customer focused and personable. You can tell that she runs the restaurant the right way and you can tell by the patrons reaction. Very impressive !

When you’ve been up 24 hours flying in from overseas, your connecting flight from JFK gets cancelled at the last minute and no more flights can get you home til the next day- all you want is a clean place to take a shower, maybe watch a little TV and get some sleep. The Hilton Garden Inn Queens/JFK was a poor choice. The 24 hour shuttle got us there and staff was friendly but room was worn, dated, smelled of cigarettes and not very clean. Had we not been so exhausted, we would have asked to change rooms. However, we decided to make the best of it and take our showers. The handle on the tub/shower was so loose that we were afraid it would come off in our hands. Got in bed and turned on TV to relax, but it was stuck on Spanish and TV remote hardly worked. Internet didn’t want to connect either, so called front desk. Internet finally connected and they sent a maintenance guy for the TV. Thought he’d just switch remotes, but that didn’t work and he began to take apart the TV. We’d had enough by then and told him not to fix it because we needed sleep more than we needed to watch TV. Nice manager came to our room to ask what they could do for us, but we told her we had to get up early for morning flight and just needed sleep. I still fortunately had my ear plugs from the cross Atlantic flight, because traffic noise was significant. We are Hilton Honors members and have stayed in Hilton properties from The Conrad Tokyo to several Hilton Garden Inns. Through no fault of the staff, this Hilton Garden Inn was the worst Hilton property we have experienced.

Not the prettiest place on earth so you'll probably only stay here if you need to be near JFK - if so, this is a good option. Nice service, clean hotel, good breakfast, bar, reasonable price. Airport shuttle is nice - though be warned that depending on how many people and order of terminal stops, it could take you 30 min to get to your stop.

First I called the shuttle for pickup and they said the shuttle was on its way. 45 minutes pass every other hotel in the area has come and gone multiple times and yet the Hilton garden inn can’t seem to figure out how to drive 5 minutes to pick up a guest. I called them multiple times asking how much longer and the woman I spoke with was just rude and bugged that I had even called and asked. For a hotel that is no more than 5 minutes away I don’t understand how it takes over an hour to pick up a guest. Then when I arrived they didn’t have a room ready for me. I even called ahead and they had confirmed there would be a room upon my arrival. I have been waiting here in the lobby for 3 hours for a room. When I explained I had spoke to someone about having a room upon arrival the front desk lady swears I can’t have. Well I did otherwise I wouldn’t have said it?
I didn’t realize booking with Hilton you pay to stand in the lobby.. thought I’d be getting an actual room. So beyond frustrated and so bugged I didn’t book with Marriott. This never happens at a Marriott. Horrible customer service at this jfk Hilton garden inn, horrible.

Bad experience with Shuttle from JFK and to JFK next morning. Took Hilton Shuttle instead of Hilton Garden; driver did not inform, so we were taken to wrong hotel. Hilton staff was not helpful and had to wait over an hour for the Hilton Garden shuttle to pick us up. We were tired and it was late, and we had another poor experience on the morning shuttle when we were crowded into the van with no help with luggage and no place to store luggage, making the experience a nightmare.
