Enjoyed our short stay before heading back home. The staff was great and very accommodating. Our plans changed last minute and we ended up staying 2 nights instead of one. On both evenings we were out late, trying help my daughter get moved in to her new place. The location was not extremely close to any late night restaurants, at least not that we were aware of without getting completely lost in the dark. BUT the hotels little convenience store had some food items to tie us over til the morning which was great! Especially since we weren't even thinking about eating since we were busy with the move.
The hotel room was comfortable. We had 2 full size beds with 3 adult people, which was not optimal with the sleeping situation but we could handle for a couple of nights. The location is set away from the airport, so it does take some time working your way back to JFK if there's a lot of traffic. Also parking is a little tight but we managed to drive and maneuver through just fine with our huge Suburban rental car but we have large cars at home and are used to driving these. If you aren't used to driving in tight spaces you may want to make sure you have a smaller vehicle at this location.
I will say however, as a reminder, to remove your "do not disturb" sign if you need service. I made the mistake of requesting extra towels for the 3rd person by calling housekeeping/front desk, they promptly sent the houseman up that was on duty. He says he knocked on the door, but the 3 of us heard no knock. We then received a phone call from the desk clerk asking us if we were in, I said yes. He explained the houseman tried to deliver the towels, but was unable to. So the 2nd attempt was made and we received the towels with a "scolding" by the houseman that we did not answer and our sign was up. I apologized and said we didn't hear any knock and he demonstrated how loudly he knocked... suffice it to say, remember to remove your do not disturb sign if you ask for assistance with anything or you could be at risk for a through scolding from the house man on duty!
