Stayed overnight at this Sleep Inn, based on Trip Advisor reviews. Although the lobby and hallway were in need of updating, the room was newish and attractive, the bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water in the shower! Breakfast included cereals, yoghurt, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, etc. The shuttle service was quick to pick us up at Federal Circle and returned us to the terminal.
Only concern was something noted by other reviewers. At checkout, we were told “the system is down” and they would email the receipt. The receipt was sent, and like the other reviewers, we were charged $1.63 for “Safe w/ltd Warranty” and $1.63 for “Hotel Services”. We did not use the safe and I can’t imagine any additional services that were not included in the room rate. I responded to the email questioning the charges – and without any explanation, they replied they had made an “adjustment”. Given other reviewers had the same experience, this seems like a deceptive practice that should not occur. As a result, I’m lowering my otherwise 4 star rating (shuttle, room, breakfast, & location) to 2 stars.
