My family and I stayed one night at this hotel and we had a terrific experience. Everyone was very kind and courteous as well as very helpful. Our room was clean and smelled like new. We were able to let our 1-year old romp around the room without any worries. Continental breakfast was great as well. They had a lot of food options. The shuttle to and from the airport were very efficient. I would definitely consider staying here again. This was my first experience with the Hampton Inn and would highly recommend them based on my experience last week.

Excellent hotel close to JFK. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The free continental breakfast was delicious and the airport shuttle was prompt and runs every 30 min. Would stay here again.

As mentioned, we are convenient to the JFK airport and offer around the clock shuttle service every 1/2 hour, on the 1/2 hour. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our hotel and the friendliness of our staff............thanks for noticing!

Even though it seems to be just an airport inn, it's a fantastic place to stay with great service.

With their manager Ana I arranged a surprise for my girlfriend in the room. They did an outstanding and passionate job in preparing everything. They left us a personal framed message, a big flower arrangement with more than a dozen long stem red roses, chocolate kisses and oreos and placed uncountable rose petals shaped as a heart on the bed.
Overall the staff has been very nice too.

The room was in the highest and 12th floor towards the airport and gave a view on arriving and departing airplanes, while not being too loud or disturbing. The interior was clean, the bed was comfortable and wifi is included.

They also offer free breakfast, which was good and provided most of the standard American breakfast options.
As for dinner you can dine at the hilton hotel which is connected to the hampton or better order something from a delivery service. The reception staff will help you with menus from local delivery services.

Obviously you can not do much in the area and they don't offer a shuttle to the subway station like the JFK Fairfield Inn, but the hotel is ideal, if you are leaving early or arriving late from/at the airport.

The reason I like this hotel is the staff, plain and simple. It is the people that make the place, the service they provide, the warm smile after a long day of traveling, and above all one feels that they truly care about the guests in this hotel.
I want to mention Charlene in particular; she serves in the breakfast area. Her smile and willingness to help and make me comfortable was consistent and she did everything beyond the call of duty. I am very particular with my food, and when there was something missing, she would dash to the kitchen to check if it is available, and she would bring what I needed back right away. Ths type of service and care was evident with everyone around, not just me.

We stayed here so that we could catch an early flight out of JFK. The hotel is in a seedy area of Queens near the airport. The rooms are adequate but could use some upgrades. The bed was as hard as a rock so be prepared for back pain in the morning. The plus is that the hotel offers shuttles to the airport so that we were able to return our rental car the night we arrived and go with the shuttle to our terminal.

We had two reservations pre-paid through Hotwire for our stay on 3/9/13. As we were arriving in two groups, when we checked in at 5:00pm we advised the front desk that the other party would be arriving very late at night and we wished to get them checked-in in advance of their arrival. We were advised that even though we paid for the booking, they could not accomodate that request, however they assured us that there would be no problem checking them in when they arrived after midnight.

We were a bit stunned when our son called us from the lobby at 2:00am to advise that they could not check in because there were no rooms left. When we arrived at the lobby there were approximately 45 other people also without rooms, and the lobby looked like a refugee camp with people sleeping in every available chair and all over the floor. The explanation we were given was that the hotel was overbooked because victims of Superstorm Sandy were supposed to have checked out that day but did not.

While I am certainly sympathetic to the plight of those who were displaced by the storm, if that many rooms were not vacated that day, the front desk was surely aware of the situation and we should have been advised when we checked in so that we could have made other arrangements for our son and his fiance. Instead, our other son vacated his bed and slept the rest of the night on the floor, while they slept in his bed. The front desk staff was less-than-sympathetic, and seemed to be completely unprepared for this situation. They had run out of extra linens, and had to go to the Hilton next door to procure pillows and a blanket for our son so he could sleep on the floor in our room.

In the morning when we checked out we did not receive an apology for the situation, however we were assured that our AMEX card would be credited for the amount of the second room. We headed for Manhattan and boarded a ship for the next seven days.

Upon returning home today and checking with AMEX, we discovered that we had not received any refund for the second room. Fortunately, an agent at Hotwire was able to get the situation resolved and acquired the credit for us, and even offered credit toward our next booking with them. It's a shame the customer service at the hotel did not display that level of professionalism. They knew we were due a refund, they knew we had booked via hotwire, and yet eight days later they still had not notified Hotwire to issue the credit.

As far as the accommodations, the room was clean, the complimentary coffee/tea area was clean and well stocked, and the breakfast was average. Rooms were very quiet, and beds were comfortable.

I had to stay one night at this hotel to take a flight early morning at JFK. For this kind of stay the Hotel is ok. Needs in my opinio a retrofit, but no big problems. Watch out if you arrive hungry late at night as they do not have anithing to offer but snaks and the machines only accept coins and they do not have change to help you. So stay hungry all night long waiting desperetly for the breakfast!

We are unsure from your comments if you had approached our staff with a request for late night food; however, the hotel hes menus of several restaurants the deliver very late into the night, as well as the Hiltol Hotel conecting to our property, serves food until midnight.
We apologize if the Front Desk was low on change when you asked. For future reference, the vending machines do accept $1 and $5 bills.
