I stayed at the Ramada Inn Ithaca, NY for business and I really enjoyed my stay. They have an indoor pool with hot tub & outdoor pool. The front desk and housekeeping staff was great. I enjoyed the all you can eat buffet for breakfast it was only $3.99 and I had the best Seafood Alfredo for Dinner. The corporate rate was quite reasonable and my King room was comfortable.

I picked the Ramada based on price and location, not knowing the area in advance. It turns out that it is very convenient to Cornell (3 minutes on back roads), where our daughter is for the summer. The hotel is within the parking lot of the major area mall and there are quite a few other stores adjacent to the property. The rooms and property are what I would expect from a $70/night hotel, not a $120/night hotel (what I paid), but that was the going rate in the area during the summer. The pool area is nice, but is only open from 10am to 9pm. The restaurant is nothing to write home about. The buffet breakfast was not very good. My family ended up getting breakfast foods at the adjacent market, which turned out to be a much better option. There is a MickyDee's right next door, as well as Subway.
The staff was very friendly and the property appeared safe secure. (It doesn't seem like there are too many "bad" areas in Ithaca except directly downtown around the Holiday Inn.) The only problem I had was after 2 days my door decided to reprogram itself and my key no longer worked. Not very nice at 10:00pm with a sleeping 5 year old in my arms and a cooler to have to go back down to the lobby to complain and get a new key!
All in all I would defintely stay there again given all things (ie rates) equal in the area. Book directly on the Ramada site as they have better prices than any of the "discount" sites.

My oldest daughter was accepted to Cornell University - so the family was off to Ithaca for Cornell Day's. After searching on Trip Advisor, we selected the Ramada Inn in Ithaca. We've never been to Ithaca, so were a little lost upon arriving. The Ramada picked us up from the Airport - what a nice service! While checking in, Char proceeded to inform us of all the activities that were happening at Cornell for Cornell Days. She gave us a nice packet that had a map of Cornell, upcoming dates for Graduation, Parents Weekend, etc. She was thorough and very knowledgeable and made my frazzled nerves settle down. The entire staff was helpful and knowledgeable about activities in and around Cornell. Our rooms were nice and clean and the hotel had many features for our younger son to enjoy while we explored the University - most notably the video arcade and the swimming pool. The Ramada has a morning buffet that was delicious and very, very reasonably priced. The entire experience was enjoyable, and it set our minds at ease about the people and community of Ithaca while our daughter is away at college. We enjoyed the experience so much that we have already booked our daughter's graduation in 2008!

While in Ithaca visiting relatives, my husband and I stayed at the Ramada Inn in Ithaca, New York. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Ithaca area and Cornell University in particular. The hotel has many great features, including an indoor and outdoor pool, a large dining room and bar and a great excersize facility with a sauna and whirlpool. The room was clean as I expected it would be. We had no problems whatsoever during our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Ramada again next time we visit the Ithaca area.
