I rarely give a restaurant a bad review, but this odd restaurant is one of the exceptions. The ingredients in some of the foods we had ordered were so strange as to make the dish inedible. We went with one picky eater, so she ordered waffles. How can you ruin a waffle? By making them out of spelt. When a waffle is made out of spelt, it tastes like a cardboard fiber waffle. Two people in our party ordered coffee. The coffee was undrinkable. In fact, one of us started a whole shtick about how not only did the coffee taste like mud, but that the staff had actually gone into the back (where there is only a parking lot), broke up some concrete, and actually dug up the dirt to make into the coffee. With a green tinge even. There was a strange looking "health food bar" at the counter that we also tried, it was also on the greenish side, and oddly enough, though we don't have a clue as to what was in it, and it looked like something you would flush away, it was the best tasting thing of all of our foods ordered that day.
The restaurant did have a very cool fireplace and interesting wood carved chairs and tables, but we also thought that the waitstaff was a tad on the strange side.
