Just spent the weekend here to visit my son, who lives in downtown Ithaca (Collegetown). The hotel is very clean and pleasant and the staff members are all very friendly and accommodating. The cafe in the lobby (which I think was added recently) is very convenient for a quick breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack. My room was a bit on the small side, but the very comfortable bed compensated for that. It's about an easy 10-minute drive into downtown Ithaca.

I have stayed at many Courtyards around the world, and this property would stand with any of them! It seemed to be newly renovated and featured the upgraded Marriott beds. Staff was friendly.. most notably, Lyndsey (who checked me in, and always had a kind word when I passed through the lobby!). The hotel is located just a few steps from the airport and about 10 minutes from the center of the Cornell campus.

Room Tip: I had a high floor (4th) room away from the elevators (very low or very high numbers) and it was won...

Very friendly and attentive staff. The hotel rooms were very clean and nice. The whirlpool is nice. Gym was good. It was a great stay! Wish this hotel would have free breakfast but that's how a Courtyard is.

It is what you see in television commercials; the lobby is very nice, flat screens, airline check-in kiosk, etc. It is in an office park. So it's geared towards business people, in that they don't have a full service restaurant. You can get a nice breakfast with Starbucks and a light dinner. The rooms are very nice. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom had all the amenities that you'd expect. A nice touch was a hair dryer that wasn't mounted to the wall. Because of it's location and clientele you won't have an army of college students running around the halls in all hours of the night !

Room Tip: rooms 14 & 16 on all floors are adjacent to the elevators.

If you're looking at reviews for a Courtyard - than you are looking for value in your lodging dollar. This newly remodeled example about 12 minutes from central Ithaca (but next to the regional airfield) should be highly considered. The lobby is friendly, with lots of little seating areas with individual HD screens, along with small but well equipped and spotless gym and indoor pool/spa.

The staff are genuinely friendly and very helpful with recommendations and directions. If you're visiting the sites or your students then be prepared for a lot of driving. That being said, the location of the Courtyard was not too different than almost any of the other area hotels short of the Hilton and Statler (both VERY expensive by comparison).

I have to agree with a few of the other reviewers in that the breakfast offerings (should be free) are somewhat meager and overpriced relative to the other Courtyard properties I have stayed.

Overall and even with a slightly inconvenient location - i would stay here on my next trip.

Room Tip: 2nd floor rooms 212-210 overlook the roof to the gym and HVAC units which are a bit noisy. 3rd/4th f...

I stayed here for 4 days during a family holiday. It was in the process of being renovated. Our room had already had the treatment, and was very good. The service at the front desk was very good too - staff had good knowledge of local amenities and were at pains to make sure we had the information we needed. We requested a rollaway bed which was in the room waiting for us when we arrived. There is a pool with a jacuzzi - small but very pleasant, and also near the bar so you can easily take your (sadly overpriced) wine to the pool if you want to just keep an eye on the kids.

What really let the place down, though, was the breakfast. Served over the bar; you have to queue up for cereal served in a cardboard tub with a peel-back lid. They also do Starbucks coffee, and branded orange juice in a plastic bottle. The menu & prices are displayed up on the wall behind the bar. It's just like McDonalds. However this is the second Courtyard I've been to recently where it's been like that - are they all being 'updated' similarly? If so, Courtyards are going to be off my list of choices. Dinner is also served over the bar in the same way - my suggestion would be to get in the car and drive down into Ithaca for much more choice and better value. Don't forget there's a Wegmans Cafe nearby too, with a huge choice of great value, family friendly food.

Room Tip: There is a highway nearby so you could ask for a room on the quiet side, but it's not too busy a...

This is as nice as all other Courtyards, for the price, some sort of breakfast would be nice. I was nervous when I found out the hotel was next to the airport but we didn't hear a single plane all weekend long. There is not really much around, expect a 20-30 minute drive to get to anything around Ithaca, we got pretty tired of driving back and forth to get to restaurants, attractions, etc.

If you do stay here, be sure to check the offerings at Cornell University such as the botanical garden and lab of ornithology.
