“not so inspiring”

The meat tasted like rubber. I was looking forward to trying the place, but have not gone back after the first visit.

“Best Deal for Sushi in Ithaca”
Reviewed August 8, 2012

The sushi here is a great deal. Its about half the price of the places in Collegetown but just as good quality.

Its a good environment, free of sake-bombing college kids with good service.

You can get a good quality simple rolle like spicy tuna or salmon for under 6 bucks, which is a great deal in Ithaca.

The food comes out fast and its always good.

The only reason I think the place isn't crowded is because of the location.

“One of my favorite restaurants in Ithaca”
Reviewed July 19, 2012

I'm sitting at CT Bento Cafe right now as I write this, finishing an order of seaweed salad (4.25) and vegetable roll (5.50). I generally order a bento box, which is a compartmented box with white or brown rice, 2 pieces of California or veggie roll, gyoza, seaweed salad, and house salad with a choice of sauces (teriyaki, spicy-yaki, peanut, oyako, curry, gluten free, house, mushroom). It's very satisfying nad filling. The other specialty is a rice bowl with a choice of toppings and sauce; you can add fresh steamed vegetables to this. Other items on the menu are sushi (build your own), Nigiri, Yakisoba (soba noodles stir-fried with vegetables and topped with a choice of meats, fish, and more vegetables). I love the smoothies, slushies, shaved ice drinks, and especially the bubble tea. All are good values. This is the only place in a sea of fast-food and chain restaurants along this stretch of Rte. 13 in Ithaca, and it's really nicely appointed. The only problem is the wide bright windows in front look out on an Arby's and traffic. Service is friendly and prompt. Highly recommend.

“Cheap, quick, fast, delicious.”
Reviewed June 21, 2012

It's cheap and delicious, and it's not all bad for you. Awesome pick for lunch/dinner. Froyo place next door must grab lots of customers looking for dessert.

“Fast and with a smile”
Reviewed December 26, 2011

Love that this place almost seems like fast food but you can get a glass of wine or sake for super cheap.
