“Cayuga West Wine Trail : Taste & Learn”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013

Our tour with Ryan and Laura was wonderful! These folks know not only wine, but tons of facts about history and the area in general. There were tasty snacks and bottles of water (which we got to keep) in the van to keep us fed and hydrated between wineries. The pairings of different foods with wines were wonderful and well thought out. Added bonus was that Laura looked up where we could purchase the cheeses near our home! It was very thoughtful to look it up for us. I love the picture we were given at the end of the day in our novelty frame - it's perched in our living room as a lovely memory of our day! The trivia contest was fun.

The tastings, obviously, are the most important thing, and they were wonderful. Touring with Experience gave us the opportunity to taste things we never would have otherwise, like vintages that they tapped from the cask that you couldn't even buy yet (much to our chagrin in the case of one particularly delicious wine). Everything is set up to teach you things as well as just entertain the palate, like tasting different years of the same grape to see the difference. Heck, we even got to try a type of Ice Wine that isn't listed on a tasting menu because my husband mentioned that he had yet to find one he didn't find cloyingly sweet. And it paid off - we bought a bottle!

Laura and Ryan did a great job, and we had a wonderful time, capped off with taking pictures at the falls. I would highly recommend this tour, and this company, to anyone!

“Rainy but great day with Rachel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2013

My husband and I visited Cayuga Lake for his 40th birthday. The weekend getaway started with the Luscious Libations tour in Ithaca. We were lucky in that no one else signed up for that day and were treated to a private tour from Rachel. All three stops were wonderful especially Six Mike Creek Winery and our host there Will.the apricot beer at Ithaca Brewerey was also tops. It was fun to learn about the area and winery and brewery industries. Rachel was a delight. I highly recommend this tour and hope to try another of their offerings.

“Great Time!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2013

Myself and 8 friends booked the girls weekend get away package and had a great time! We stayed at La Tourelle, had breakfast both days at the Bistro, did the wine tour (with a great tour guide), had spa credits and credits for local restaurants. The entire experience was great and I would recommend it to anyone!

“Water Falls in Ithaca”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

The tour guide was great and very enthusiastic in what she was doing. For the weather we had (cold and rainy) she her best to make our trip memorable. I enjoyed the history of Ithaca and getting to know Cornell. The group I went with also enjoyed very much the history of Cornell. We were all glad to see the guide provided snacks and a cool water bottle. After speaking with everyone in our group, we would love to come back and see what else we missed out on because of the weather. Great Job guys!

“Very fun!”

My boyfriend booked this at a valentines/birthday weekend in Ithaca and we went on the liquors, beer and wine your around Seneca Lake. Our tour guide, Rachel, picked us up at our hotel (La Tourell) right on time and was so nice and excited to show us around. We picked up a few more people at the Holiday Inn and then began the journey to a distillery, 2 wineries and a brewing company. Along the way we learned facts about the FInger Lakes and at each stop they taught us about the ins and outs of making wine, beer and liquor. Even got a tour of the Finger Lakes Distilling company! The van was a bit tight, but they provided complimentary snacks and water bottles! We also got pamphlets about each stop we made which was great! Even in the winter this tour is really worth it!

Thanks so much for the review! We love our winter tours as the slower pace gives us the opportunity to really show off our awesome partners on the wine trail. YES! The wineries, breweries and distilleries in the beautiful Finger Lakes are open year round, and so are we, so if you really want an intimate wine experience in the Finger Lakes do some winter touring - you will love it!
