My husband and I have been to the Bostwick House twice so far. First to celebrate our wedding and more recently to celebrate my birthday. We loved our experience both times and plan to return. It is only a 5 minute or so drive from downtown Ithaca and is excellent value for money compared to some of the other bed and breakfasts we looked at. The innkeepers, Mary Rose and Dave, are wonderful, warm and creative people who have lovingly restored the house which is one of the oldest houses in Tompkins County. Mary Rose has great suggestions for things to do in the area as she is very involved in the local community, and she always has entertaining stories to share about the area. The house is filled with antiques and the innkeepers' artwork. We have stayed in both the Library room and the Van Dorn room. We preferred the Library room since we had our own bathroom, but all the other rooms are equally lovely. Breakfasts are a delicious treat and it's fun to interact with the hosts and other guests. Location is excellent. Trumansburg is about 20 minutes away and Ithaca is 5-10 minutes away by car. We can't wait to go back. If you are looking for an intimate bed and breakfast experience, this is it!
