There are a lot of great parks in the Ithaca region, but this one has a slight edge on a few fronts.
Public Swimming with lifeguards is available during summer season. Swimming is at the base of a large waterfall as well -- something everyone should experience at least once.
Hiking is stunning and not too short.
Lucifer Falls is well worth the hike -- stunning waterfall.
Certainly a must-visit.

Treman park was built in the 1930s as park of the Conservation Corp. Incredible trails (pretty challenging if you do the falls loop but worth it) and a classic swimming area complete with waterfall you can climb on.

Its not a very big park but its perfect for kids! Its the kids favorite place to swim, followed by a picnic lunch. The trails are beautiful. It makes for a fun day.

In the summer, it`s a great place to swim. The waterfall is beautiful and there are lifeguards. The water is cold, as expected! The park had a picnic and barbecue area and is great for families.

We were in two minds to visit this park. However when we were walking at TAUGHANNOCK FALLS a elderly gentleman told us not to miss Robert Treman State park. We were glad we made teh vsit. The lower entrance has a beautiful falls too and a natural swimming pool. Not much of walking to this place. The Gorge Trail/ Lucifer fall is close to the Upper entrance and something one must not miss. its a fantastic place and the trail is great, though its quite exhausting as there are lot of steps. All in all worth a visit and a place I would say is excellent.
