Attended a wedding at the state park in Trumansburg. Saw the great falls in the park (the highest east of the Rockys). Wedding was right on the water with the reception in a stone building in the park. Would definitely like to spend more time here. Wineries close by.

While a student at Cornell I barely got off campus. What a mistake. The area is beautiful. So much to do. We came here to see Cornell and today is day 3 and we haven't been to campus yet. So much to see and do. Yesterday we ate bagels on the deck overlooking the lake, hiked, picniced, went to 3 wineries, took a canoe ride and had a delicious dinner. And I also ran 4 miles in the morning on the Cayuga Waterfront Trail. What a special spot.

Seneca Lake and Cayuga Lakes are the largest fresh water lakes and known for fishing and other water sports. Last twenty years wine yards and winery in the area has made this place for wine testing and golfing attraction. There are lots of B&B places aswell as great way to spend vacation testing wines in the wineries around the lakes. Boat tour at Seneca and trekking in the Cayuga state forest is very good. And those interested in an excellent university would enjoy a trip to cornell Univ in Ithaca.

This lake is one of the largest fresh water lakes of the Finger Lakes in Upstate New York. Lots of boating and fishing is available. Take in the breezes and enjoy putting your feet in the water.
I bet it will get warmer soon!

We didn't visit the whole lake. There's a pleasant beach quite near the Taughannock Falls. We went there a couple of times while camping at Robert Treman park. There were lifeguards there, and a swimming area, also you could swim out to a floating diving area, also manned by lifeguards. A bit of a sandy beach, which was pleasant, but the water gets deep quite soon so it was hard for our 3-year-old grandchild to enjoy a paddle; we had to be with her the whole time. But no complaints,
