My wife & I had a banana split sundae, it was super yummy. The atmosphere here is pretty great, I loved the atmosphere inside the shop. It was really great!

“Not so great ”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2014 via mobile

On vacation visiting Finger Lakes. I always have high expectations for upstate NY ice cream and based upon the reviews, thought this place would be really good. Was severely disappointed the flavor just wasn't there. Tried the mint ice cream with crushed oreos. Husband tried a specialty shake. One of the disconcerting things about this place is that you cannot see the ice cream. One must look at a board of names. Part of the appeal is to look at the ice cream, wet your appetite for it. Plenty of flavors to choose from as well as shakes, sundaes, and based speciality items. There was a long line and the staff got through it fairly quick. Place is growing and under construction. Has no indoor seating yet but there are some tables outside. Clean modern bathrooms and places to park in lot or street.

“Okay ”

I was excited to get ice cream from this place because I had read that it was a popular local spot. However, quite honestly, I didn't find it to be anything special for the line and crowd that was there. It just didn't seem that great to me but perhaps they have some specialty that I didn't order. (We had an order of cookies and cream and a order of strawberry ice cream.)

“Great mid-afternoon treat!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2014 via mobile

My two girls and I were exploring the Finger Lakes region and were in the mood for ice cream. This place came up first in our search and it was easy to find. The choices for ice cream flavors are impressive, but it does make me wonder when an ice cream shop doesn't display their ice cream. I had to guess on a few of flavors and eventually asked for a recommendation (she recommended Pumpkin Praline, which I did highly enjoy). The ice cream wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was very good and the baked goods were excellent. Overall, a cute location for an afternoon snack!

“Big selection of flavors”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2014

This was definitely an interesting ice cream experience. Everything we tried was delicious. They have an extensive selection of flavors, some of which are unique. They have a variety of serving modes and sizes, too, including a junior size (one scoop). Nice, retro feel to the place: small-town ice cream shop, founded in the 1930s. The only thing I didn't like was that you can't see the ice cream, and there are no descriptions of the more unusual flavors: you have to ask about them.
