Almost like being in Maine. Fresh, off the boat, lobster. Super service, clean and friendly place on the water in Island Park, NY.

We went there for lunch during a business trip at the advice of a local friend. He wasn't kidding when he said it was almost like being on the coast of Maine. We had the chowder (Manhattan, of course.. when in Rome...) and lobster rolls. Are they true split roll, unadulterated Maine lobster rolls? No. are they close... yes. Are they tasty? You bet.

So, if you want a water front experience, fresh seafood, right off the boat, and a taste of Maine but don;t want to drive 8 hours, hit Jordan's.

We just love Jordan's Lobster all year round! Its such a special treat to bring home or eat there 3 1.5 lbs lobster at a fantastic price!

When you get there you can simply order one of the menu items or you can pick out your own lobster to be boiled as you wait!

Everything is just fresh! The salads, etc in the deli fridges are delcious too! Found the baked clams a but tasteless though so need to spinkle allot of lemon on it!

If you are anywhere on long Island or Queens, its worth the drive to Jordan's Lobster!

Sorry to say but this place is subpar to Red Eats in Maine and even Luke's Lobster in Manhattan. I'm giving this place 4 stars only because they let me bring my dogs into the outdoor sitting area :) I think the restaurant as a whole deserves 4 stars, but their lobster roll deserves 3 stars.

A few things going for this place: excellent service, fairly fast, extensive menu, and they have little neck clams.

We ordered the lobster roll, lobster bake, new england clam chowder, corn on the cob, and a dozen of little necks.

The lobster roll was not balanced at all. Too much bread. The bread they use is a hot dog bun, terrible!! It's not even toasted. Luke's lobster at least toasts their bread with butter and seasoning. Red Eats in Maine does something similar. The lobster they give you is also mixed with some kind of mayo/lobster spread. It doesn't allow the produce to speak for itself. Really disappointed with the lobster roll and how they chose to make it.

The lobster bake was good. It's just baked lobster, can't mess that up. Came with butter on the side. The lobster was already cracked for you so it was really easy to get the most amount of meat with littlest amount of effort. Awesome!!

The little necks were tasty. The "cocktail sauce" was flavorful and balanced the taste of the little necks. I had 0 sand whatsoever out of the 6 that I ate. Good job in cleaning them!!

The New England clam chowder was good too. Only issue was that the potatoes were a little too al dente for me. They do have a lot of clams in the chowder and it was somewhat thick. I think most people wouldn't have an issue with this dish.

Overall, I would not recommend this place for the lobster roll but recommend the other stuff on the menu. On the bright side, it's a pet friendly place and that's really awesome since you get to sit by the water and soak in the ocean breeze.

weve been getting our lobsters from this place for years. Hurricane Sandy hurt the area, but these guys are thankfully still there. Friendly and helpful staff. Large assortment of lobster tanks to choose from. Ate my first 17lbs lobster from there. They supply a lot of restaurants on the area. They have an indoor and outdoor seating area. Very cute, always fresh.

Jordan's does it right. The chunky lobster meat with the right amount of spices and mayo on a fresh roll hit the spot! Add a refreshing drink, a bag of chips and outdoor seating and a wonderful lunch is yours. Service was good...it all depends on how many people have ordered before you and what they ordered....I arrived when the take out window line was small.

It's a popular spot...always has been and I'm glad they have recovered from Hurrican Sandy's wrath to bring some normalcy back to Island Park and the area lobster lovers.
