My two sisters and I spent our annual Sisters' Weekend at the Glass Magnolia Bed and Breakfast in Interlaken NY, right in the heart of the wine trails of both Cayuga and Seneca Lakes. Our hosts, Wally and Nancy Rudolph, are such wonderful people, and treated us really well. Aside from assuring that everything we needed was available to us at a moment's notice, they were excellent tour guides with recommendations to help us plan our sightseeing. And to top it all off, Wally is a chef, and brings his 35 years of experience to the kitchen for each gourmet breakfast he serves; from spinach omelets with homemade sausage, to Belgian waffles with an amazing apple compote sauce. Add to that Nancy's amazing breakfast breads- pumpkin, lemon poppy, cinnamon swirl; it was all we could do not to leave the dining area without waddling! I would recommend this B&B to anyone traveling with family or a large group of friends - you could rent the second house for your entire group. With the large kitchen and eating area, you could make your lunches or dinners, or pack picnics as we did to take along for the day's activities. We shared the common area in the evenings with the other guests; while we played games at the dining room table, 2 other couples enjoyed the football game on TV in the living room. Everyone we met was super friendly and easy to share the home's 'space'.
You will not be disappointed if you choose this B&B for your first, or next, trip to the Finger Lakes.
