This is a family restaurant, and that says it all. We walked in and could smell the cooking grease and nearly slipped on the french fries lying under our chairs. While the menu does offer a lot of "home-style" cooking, there are lots of standard things (burgers, etc.) that are nothing special. It can fill up quickly with the local residents and tourists looking for a decent meal. The tavern atmoshpere prevails. There is lots of wooden furniture, red and white tablecloths, which at least gives you the feeling that you are doing something "Adirondack" style. But I would say you are better off cooking your own food!
