This motel is nicely maintained, clean, and offers a good continental breakfast; however, it is very much over-priced if you have kids. Double occupancy for off-season was $89. (We stayed post-peak leaf season, in late September.) This is reasonable. However, they tagged on $15.00 per child (we have two), which was ridiculous. We ended up paying, with taxes, ~127.00 per night. Not a bad price FOR A FANCY HOTEL, but this is a basic...even if well-maintained.

Marina Motel is a nice cozy place to stay when in Inlet. The room we had was clean, neat, roomy and comfortable. The hosts are very nice and very helpful. We recommend this Motel when visiting Inlet.

We truly enjoyed our recent stay at the Marina Motel, our hosts were lovely (and very busy!) owners. The kids had a fun time playing with their young daughters, too. Sitting by the fire at night was just perfect. And the location is right in the village and an easy walk to the waterfront park and playground. A word to the wise, while this is a very comfortable motel with clean floors, nice new beds, tiled bath and an awesome location, it is still a motel. Don't expect pampering and everything to be absolutely perfect. The sink area of the bathroom could have used a privacy curtain or something so that when the kiddos opened the door, there wasn't a straight line of sight to the driveway. But that is about all we were lacking. The doughnuts at breakfast were yummy. Also, note that the driveway into the motel is a little steep so cars without snow tires may have trouble in the winter (though I don't know what you'd be doing in the Adirondacks in the winter if you didn't have snow tires!) :) Have a great time. Inlet is so much more enjoyable than Old Forge, it has everything you need without feeling like a tourist.

A friend and I spent three nights at the Marina Motel, and found it to be delightful. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and toasty because the temperatures were a bit frosty. It was centrally located for the attractions we visited, and and easy to find. The deer who visited the motel area were a nice surprise. The couple who operate the motel were personable and helpful with restaurant suggestions. The breakfast was available promptly, abd the coffee hit the spot on the chilly mountain mornings. Would stay here again, and will recommend to others.

We went hiking nearby and didn't get to look for a place to stay until around 7 pm. Lots of places were closed but we lucked out and found this wonderful place. Jamie the owner was really great and gave us information on hikes nearby and a restaurant to go eat at (we never would have found on our own as most places were closed then). She even called the restaurant and told them we were coming and to wait for us. The room was very clean and comfortable, the nicest room we stayed in on our trip. Temperature was adjustable and comfortable and there was free wi-fi.

Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

We went to 4th lake to take part in the 2011 One Square mile of Hope
Canoe/Kayak event on September 24th. Jamie and Henry were the perfect
hosts, they exceeded our expectations on everything. They treat
their guests more like family than patrons at a motel. We found the
rooms very clean and comfortable, with no damp musty odors like most
smaller hotels tend to have. The grounds were well taken care of by
Henry with comfortable outside sitting areas with outside fire places,
affording a nice view of the area. The continental breakfast served
in the motel's game room was the best we have experienced. Jamie the
hostess, picks up fresh items from the local bakery every morning for her
guests. Great location near town beach/park, local shops and
restaurants/taverns. We plan to tell others to this is THE place to stay, as
well as return again ourselves!

We were driving through the Adirondacks & hadn't reserved anywhere to stay. We came across the Marina Hotel and they could not have been more accommodating. We've stayed in lots of little hotels like this & Marina is the best by far. The rooms were clean, warm, and very comfortable, not musty & damp like these hotels usually are. The owners are a wonderful family and very welcoming. We will definitely be back!
