Long Island's finest independent bookstore is a great place for the both the bibliophile and the casual reader. Book Revue stocks an impressive selection of new and used books, with a nice selection of remainders at reduced prices. Books are attractively displayed on the many shelves and tables with still ample room to roam the aisles and browse. Prices are very reasonable, and the clearance section on the mezzanine boasts some truly great bargains. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are always available to help.

What a wonderful place to browse in... What a wonderful place to experience a reading by a famous author or, a book signing by someone like Alan Alda or Dwight Gooden or Neil Sedaka or???. There is a wonderful section of rare books.. And a section of gently used books..... All in all a terrific place to spend time in.

I love this place. Not your everyday modern store. Authors are constantly coming here to sign books and meet people. Hard to find books, great selection, fun place to visit

I worked at bookstores for many years, and they're still one of my favorite places to visit. Book Revue reminds me of The Strand in NYC (one of the places I used to work). It's quirky, they have a variety of books and remainders at discounted prices, and an upstairs with used books to choose from. They have a fairly large children's section. It's not someplace where you will find every title you're looking for - they're limited in what they offer. But it makes it part of the fun, hunting the shelves to see what gem you could find. I of course found quite a few, thank God my husband is a patient man.

I love the organic selection of teas they have in the tea shop area, and that they allow you browse the store, tea in hand. It was a very relaxed atmosphere. There was a reading the night we were there, and the energy overall seemed positive. A bunch of book lovers enjoying their time together.

The staff give you personal space, so if you need something, you have to ask. We found the cashier to be lovely - friendly, good humor and helpful. She is the kind of worker who leaves you with a good impression of someplace, inspiring you to return.

I was disappointed by the uber small fitness and health sections, but this is not a Barnes and Noble. This is a neighborly place where you're among the artsy folks that are attracted to independent stores such as this, where you find little jewels along your journey. They also have a large share of celebs and famous writers providing book readings, and a long history of famous folks personally promoting their books there which adds a hint of excitement in the papery air. It's so important to support small bookshops like this. They provide a historic local community experience that the bigger corporate stores can't compete with. This bookshop brings the artistic urban vibe of downtown New York to the Island - unique and valued!

I love the character and the vintage feel. And it's fun hunting for titles there. Because of this, the tea and the friendly cashier, I'd visit again.

I love this bookstore, especially when there is an author reading and signing. The selection of books is wide and they have stocked shelves.
