I heard from a few friends and got it confirmed from previous Yelp reviews so I decided to drive over an hour to Park Falafel. I was not disappointed. Having spent much time in Queens and Long Island and in Israel, I know good Middle Eastern food and kosher veggie pizza. This place rocks. Started out with a bowl of spicy bean soup that was hot and delicious and contained a mix of veggies and savory Middle Eastern spices. Then came the Falalel platter. The falafel was as good as the best I had in Jerusalem. The pita bread seems to be fresh baked and not paper thin like most commercially baked pita. The humus and other veggies were first rate. I wanted to sample more but I was delightfully full. So instead, I took home a veggie pizza, two deconstructed falafel platters and the owner, Brian, a really good guy, gave me a sampler of carrot salad and stuffed grape leaves. The food was quickly served and the store manager, Justin, was incredibly helpful. In short, this place was worth the drive (and it's closer than Queens and Tel Aviv if you live in the Hudson Valley.) We will be back. You must go there too. It's worth the trip from anywhere in the Hudson Valley.
