Situated in the heart of Hudson’s restaurant district on Warren Street, only a 15 minute ride from the Taconic State Parkway or NYS Thruway and within walking distance of the Amtrak station. American Glory specializes in legendary wood smoked BBQ and classic American comfort foods. Our menu includes many vegetarian and gluten free options. Housed in a masterfully renovated red brick firehouse, American Glory Restaurant boasts a rich history of dedicated firefighters. Formerly the H. Rogers Hose Company it was home to the second oldest volunteer fire department in the United States;organized in 1794. The firehouse has been meticulously restored to highlight the original red brick walls, wood floors and historic grand wooden staircase.American Glory is warm and inviting, filled with the aroma of wood smoked barbecue, hometown comfort foods, enjoyable music, good times and roaring laughter.A beautiful dark wood and mirror bar with ice chilled beer taps sits on the casual pub style first floor and expansive doors open to our sidewalk dining area. The second floor houses a spacious family dining room with seating for 100 people and doubles as an art gallery, featuring a different Columbia County artist each month. The additional private dining room with working fireplace and large screen TV seats 24 people, an ideal setting for business meetings, billiards, intimate gatherings and family Sunday dinners.

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. Guy playing guitar in the back. The BBQ was good. Ribs were moist and tender with just the right touch of smoke. Brisket was cut from the short side and a little dry but the sauces took care of it. Can't suggest the Texas Hash which is essentially burnt ends. Very dry! Overall still a good BBQ joint worth the trip. Extensive menu with lots to choose from

Great BBQ...had the Turkey Wing and it was gigantic, moist, smoky and delicious! Sides were "OK"....mac and cheese dry, baked beans average. Good beer selection and good service...not a lot of tables.

Full disclosure...I'm a vegetarian. I have gone here twice with my husband. The first time we went in was to, of course, see their local beer selection. Not that it has a reputation that I'm aware of for beer selections but we're always curious to see what's on tap in bars/pubs. The last time we were there we ducked in to get out of the rain. The owner came out and offered people samples of some type of pork belly dish. He was very friendly and poked good natured fun at having a vegetarian in the house. Each time we've gone my husband had chicken wings. He said they were good-nothing out of the ordinary.

As far as the bar goes it's fine but they have large TV's which I always find distracting. If you're just looking for a nice spot to hang out I recommend the Spotty Dog, a nice bookstore/bar.

Great menu! and the food is deee-licious! If you love bbq this your stop. There is something for everyone on this menu, lots of combo choices so you can try more than just one kind of bbq. Everything from duck skewers or turkey legs to pulled pork, ribs and my favorite their brisket. They have a full bar with all kinds of unique drinks and draft beers. Great looking desserts, never had enough room left after our meals cause the portions are plenty and lots of sides to choose from. This place is in a old fire house with original dark wood and brick, all done very nice. They also have live entertainment at different times. Well worth the stop, you won't be disappointed or go away hungry!

We had mixed experiences here. Our server was fine, but when we made a complaint about one of our food items, the manager was unprofessional and spoke to us very loudly about how we were wrong. Then we were left without drink refills and no one came back to check on us, like we were being punished. We did meet the owner and he seemed slightly sorry, but we weren't impressed with his response to the problem.
