“A place with history”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

The Teatro de la Republica is a famous spot, not because of the shows, acoustic or comfort of its seats, but because it was the site where the Mexican Constitution was signed on 1917. The place is well kept, but far from a couple of photo ops, if there's not a show in venue, there's no reason to visit beyond the lobby.

“interesting place to visit”

it is a theater about a block from hotel plaza. Sometimes they have concerts. It is not easy to go in. Sometimes there are official ceremonies.

“National Symbol”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2012

This small theatre is better known for its historic significance than for its qualities as auditorium. Nevertheless is a good and cozy place to listen music.

It is one of the most elegant buildings in the city with a very sober decoration and a gravitas that only its historic relevance can confer.

Centrally located in Queretaro, this building is beautiful and lots of history all around. Just walking the streets of Queretaro will add something to your spirit

“A Small and Very Elegant Porfirio Era Theatre”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 25, 2012

We heard a sensational, young pianist play a series of Chopin pieces, with great excellence and emotion. Only drawback is that in May the building was uncomfortably hot.
