Centrally located in Queretaro, this building is beautiful and lots of history all around. Just walking the streets of Queretaro will add something to your spirit

We heard a sensational, young pianist play a series of Chopin pieces, with great excellence and emotion. Only drawback is that in May the building was uncomfortably hot.

Wonderful place to really see and understand the colonial times in Mexico. Lots of history, a must if you visit Queretaro.

From outside it doesn't look like much but the symbol is great:
- first national song
- decision to shoot Emperor Maximilien
- signing of the constitution

If you can read spanish then there is plenty of info on display inside. The building itself is well preserved and lovely to look at. If you are in the Centro you should have a look round. The facade is also beautiful. It cost nothing to get in, but you did have to sign the visitor book and wait for the security guard to allow you upstairs.
