Stayed here for a week with colleagues. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean this hotel is. It's situated on a busy corner beside the highway, but once inside the courtyard it is beautiful and quiet. The rooms are a good size, with a large desk, though no free internet. The bathroom is amazing, marble with glass shower stall and soaker tub. The women in our group appreciated the large counter space in the bathroom. There was a bit of a mix up, and we ended up in a room with two double beds instead of a king, so sleeping was a bit uncomfortable, but not unbearable. During the week it was fairly quiet with mostly business people, but on the weekends it got noisy with more families with children.

The restaurant on site offered a breakfast buffet, which had the exact same offerings every single day. However the food was fresh and no one got sick. We were well supplied with cookies and coffee in our meeting room. The staff in the restaurant were friendly. I only had lunch at the restaurant once during my stay, and would not recommend the pasta. I had the ravioli in onion sauce, which turned out to be 5 or 6 undercooked raviolis swimming in a very sweet red onion soup. Not good at all. There are two malls within minutes walking distance which have food courts with cheaper and better food.

The front desk staff were friendly, though there were initially some problems with billing. Our party had breakfast included in the price of our stay, yet some were still charged for breakfast. Otherwise they were competent, from exchanging money, to check in/out, to ordering taxis and restaurant recommendations.

Although the pool area was small, it was nicely set up everyday with lounge chairs and towels. The fitness room was also not large, but sufficed with a couple treadmills, bikes, one elliptical machine, free weights and several weight machines.

Good: clean, comfortable rooms, central location, conference/meeting facilities, helpful staff
Not so Good: no free internet (the paid internet did not always work), food, small pool

Stayed at the Fiesta Americana for work and for a conference this year. Overall, the service was great. It is a clean, new hotel, with open air spaces. The support and conference services provided by the staff were great. The room was spacious and comfortable. The fitness centre is a bit small, but has sufficient equipment. Definitely would recommend staying at this hotel again. You are only about a twenty minute walk to the historical centre and much closer by taxi. Be cautious of the hotel taxi, our driver drove us around lost for 45 minutes, and tried to charge us double the rate, fortunately we knew where we going and how much it should cost.

The level of service and quality of service at this hotel continues to decline with every visit I make. Personnel turnover seems to be very high and the quality of new personnel does not meet the level one would expect at this level of hotel. The fact that the hotel charges for internet access does not work well for the business traveler. In general, this is not a good value if you're visiting Queretaro.

An amazingly lovely place. The staff here were ever so efficient and friendly. The dining facilities were second to none. The staff in the restaurant were very cheery and were able to accommodate my vegetarian taste. There is also a limousine service to drive you around. There is a very nice ambient atmosphere, and I was informed the owners of the hotel wanted to give a contemporary feel hence there is gentle-uplifting house music being played in the background.
5 out of 5 for me. I can't fault it.

Hotel has good location. Good rooms. Food quality is good, but service, though nice, you have to remind them constantly of things you order.

When I arrived by car, Valet took care of it for the night. Next day I found out a warning sign on the dashboard (which was not there the previous day). I could not find out what it was at first, but while looking through I found out my license plate lights where stolen. I inmediately contacted the Manager, which was surprised, arguing that the parking area was secured and had cameras. I visited the parking area and it was dark as night and I saw only 2 people at the entrance and no cameras. The Manager did not apologized for this event, but agreed to pay for the lights, but until I send them the payment from the car dealer, so this remains to see if they pay.

I was really angry for all this. It really worries me the bad response on behalf of the Manager. If this happened in the parking area, what could happen in the rooms? Take care and better find out other hotels in the area with better security.

In December 2006, I had the opportunity to stay at the Fiesta Americanna for the second time...I was just as impressed then as I was the first time.

The run-of-house rooms are well above average, clean, smartly appointed, and extremely comfortable. I found the hotel restaurant to be safe, offering an assortment of regional and international cusuines.

The hotel location is adaquate to downtown (about a 10-minute, $5.00 USD taxi ride). The historic town center is full of restaurants and shops. Although I'm not a Spanish speaker, I felt as safe strolling through the town square as I would in my own hometown neighborhood. If you have the opportunity to go, do so...you will not regret it!
