“This Place is a Jewel in Queretaro”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013

Moser Cafekultur was recommended by several friends who live here in the same region of Mexico (central in the state of Guanajuato) as we do. The descriptions of this urban paradise of culture & design in a reclaimed warehouse space were hard to believe as we've not experienced anything like this in 10 years of living here. It sounds more like many repurposed spaces we've seen in urban centers of the USA or Europe & it turns out it IS like these places. Rambling, massive spaces filled w/cool shops selling all Mexican designs clustered around an incredible, eclectically decorated (antiques deliciously mixed w/modern furnishings) restaurant. The menu offers a nice selection of wines by the bottle or glass & a nice variety of light fare as well as some more hardy offerings such as oso buco & a rib eye. We had the caprese salad which featured a spectacular artisinal cheese that made it one of the best I've ever tasted. Also ordered the delightfully presented cantaloupe soup which was garnished w/fresh basil & topped w/a froth. The soup was served w/serano wrapped around fresh toast served over shaved ice to keep fresh. We also had the salad nicoise which was a perfectly classic & crispy version of this old fave. The service is young & hip & competent. We will return for the jazz night (Thursday?) as well as attend the theatre in the same complex which frequently puts on original plays . This place is hard to find even for a local (which we love!) so suggest taking a cab at least for the 1st visit.

“European bakery, food and charm = A Must for Dining”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2013

An old converted warehouse with indoor and outdoor seating where charm, excellent food and a wonderful bakery all make for a most relaxing meal. In addition to their gourmet menu, they have an added treat: A different fixed three course meal served each weekday at a convivial table shared by up to twelve guests; the conversation is as varied and interesting as are the different diners who sit at this table. I have fallen in love with the charm, food and personal -- all there to make for a wonderful visit. Wednesday nights they have live jazz and some other times they have special tasting events and art expositions. The chef is Swiss/French and the bakery follows the best of German tradition (Best bread you'll ever eat). Moser is a must for anyone in Querétaro.

“European in Queretaro”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 9, 2012

Nice bread. In Queretaro you nearly cannot find any kind of dark bread.
Friendly people, but too high prices. And dont go there in wintertime. It´s always very cold.
