Fin de Siglo is a traditional restaurant in the historic city center. Its menu is primarily traditional Mexican cuisine that's well-prepared with good ingredients. There is a main room which is in the central courtyard and adjacent rooms off it to dine in. Prices are moderate and service is competently professional although not outstanding in any way.

We went to this restaurant on our last stay in Queretaro. The restaurant is very close to the centre and food is very nicely priced, we had a 500 meal with wine a main and a sweet and coffees.

We didn't get the IVA/propina scam and checked our bill really closely. It is customarily in Queretaro to add a "Propina sugerida" (suggested tip) to your bill, so be carefull to spot this and tip/don't tip accordingly.

The food was above the quality of anything in the nearby squares and the service and attention were outstanding.

Breakfast is the best with a decently priced buffet on Saturday and Sunday. The buffet has a variety of local dishes and also eggs and quesadillas (tortillas filled with cheese/meat/beans or other folded over) made to order. Assorted fruit is available and also cereals.

Would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Este restaurante está en la esquina de Benito Juárez e Hidalgo en el Centro Histórico. The front of the building is cut at an angle to the street corner so that it affords a triangular patio for outdoor seating. The inside of the restaurant is colorfully decorated in what I would describe as traditional Mexican, bright and lively colors with ornaments and banners. There is usually a greeter, traditionally dressed, standing outside. This person is trying to entice you to enter the restaurant and have a meal. This practice is very common in this part of the city. Because the temperature is so pleasant in the evenings in Queretaro we enjoy sitting outside. This enables people watching but there is traffic noise. You can live through it.

La cena fue muy deliciosa. Four of us dined this evening. The drink order was taken promptly. Two tequilas con sangrita and two soft drinks. The meal started with Guacamole and chips. It is prepared fresh for each order. There are the usual red and green sauces on the table served with chips. At many restaurants the green sauce is the spicier. Here it is the red. For the entrée the molcajete de la casa is particularly good. On the menu it has three chili peppers indicating heat. I found it tasty with a sensation ringing my lips. For my son-in-law the effect was his eyes popping out of his head with steam coming from his ears. The fried coconut shrimp were served with rice in a buttery yellow cream sauce. It was very rich. The carne asada de res was tender and looked excellent. My daughter had a fish that she truly enjoyed but I cannot remember what it was.

No dessert for us. We were full. I thought the bill was reasonable. Including a number of tequilas and a glass of wine it came to about $25.00 per person. This included the tip and was calculated at the current exchange rate. I have been here several times and I will return. Your mileage may vary.

This place is really a nice and a very tasty one in Queretaro. Prices are as in Europe, but really worth it. We had a very helpful waiter that seemed to be a chef, cause he would explain in detail the dishes preparation that we wanted to choose. The do "salsa bechamel" themselves for 18hours, with no added milk it lookes white and tastes really delicios. Atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. No booking is necessary at least in winter. Quickest wifi in the city. The Mexican wine is good also. Enjoy your dinner! =)
