What better name could there be for the restaurant looking directly at the Palacio de la Corregidora and the beautiful square that has been happening history of Queretaro and the country? 1810 Restaurant, with its prime location in the heart of Historic Downtown Queretaro, offers locals and visitors an exquisite menu of Mexican and international cuisine. In this place you'll find traditional dishes that are hard to find elsewhere, such as: Grasshoppers, Escamoles, Chinicuiles (seasonal) and specialties such as : Molcajete Queretano; Molcajete "1810" and Escargots Bourguignon.

Location, service and menu. You will like it! Take in the sights and ambience. The Governor's palace is across the square.

“Great location, good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2012

If you are in the Historic Downtown this is a great place to eat right in the Plaza de Armas. You can choose between mexican food and international dishes.
If you are up for mexican food and like to try new things, try the "sopecitos de chapulines y escamoles".

Ask for a table in the terrace, so you can see the square as the day passes by.
This place is right beside El Mesón de Chucho El Roto which is a good option too. Chucho el Roto is more focused on mexican food and 1810 has a higher mix between mexican and international dishes.

“Great location and service, mediocre food at best”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2012

I have been here several times including twice last week. The ambience is outstanding. The location and service all that can be expected. I admit I am not a big fan of Mexican food, although those at the table that do like it seemed satisfied. I should know better from other restaurants that steak is not very good at most. The Argentinian restaurants easily found are a far better choice if beef is your choice. Visitors love this place because of the setting, and I repeat the service is outstanding.
