Mfuwe Lodge - The Bushcamp Company
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed June 3, 2012

We were at Mfuwe Lodge for four days. The accommodations were comfortable and there was plenty of room. In addition, the staff was most gracious, any time you would talk to them or ask questions. The food was excellent and the food service was also excellent.
The trips out to the Savannah were just exciting. Our drivers, Jason and then James, were very knowledgeable and went out of their way to expose us to as many animals as possible, including two Leopards and a Lion, at night. And, the breakfast out in the middle of the jungle, done by the Lodge kitchen, was incredible!
We highly recommend a trip to South Luangwa National Park with a stay at Mufwe Lodge.

Room Tip: Stay on the south side.

I can't say enough about our experience at Mfuwe Lodge. The staff was lovely, the lodge was beautiful and the food (arranged by head chef Taps) was amazing! Our safari guide Calvin, was unbelievable, he was so informative, personable and fun. Everything was timed and organized wonderfully. The staff had heard that my husband and I were celebrating our one year anniversary and arranged a platted dinner at our own table complete with a bottle of wine under the stars. We could not have asked for a better way to celebrate! My husband and I will certainly return and recommend this lodge to our family and friends.

We spend 3 nights in the Mfuwe Lodge and 2 nights in the bushcamp Kapamba. It was a great experience. Especially the hospitality and the kindness of the staff, the way everything was decorated, the food ( for example: when you are too late for lunch, they keep some food seperate for you/ they remembered my husband was allergic to chocolate) It feels like (a very luxury) HOME. Most guides were always trying to find the animals we wanted to see.
Manuel was our guide to/in Kapamba. He was extraordinary. Knew a lot about plants, animals, footprints etc. Kapamba is really worth going to . Eventhough the trip to the bushcamp (4 hours drive: a bit boring) is long, when you are there: you'll be surprised. The end of the world and still: amazing what the staff will do for you. Very interested in their guests. Beautiful rooms and elephants, hyena's , lions and hippo's next to your room. Thank you for this experience. The only problem we have now is: where should we go to after this camp??

Had a great time we were treated beautifully. The rooms were excellent and very comfortable. The meals were beyond fantastic. I have never had better or more friendly accomodating service. Onacious (sp) AKA "nurse" our Safari driver was most excellent and a lot of fun.
