Only stayed two nights but the camp is excellent. A good location just outside the park over looking the river. We watched lions on the far bank whilst having breakfast. Our guide Bradston was very good. The food is great and all the staff professional and helpful. The camp manger Yvonne was a brilliant host. Animal sightings were plentiful and in one case the lion kill dramatic.

An incredible experience for my family and for our friend's family.
The welcome was so warm, the service exceptional, the food amazing, the cleanliness wonderful, the accommodation comfortable and relaxing, and the pool a welcome break after safari trips.
The highlight though are the twice-daily safari drives. Our jeep was led by Jonna and he was amazing not only at finding the animals (there are NO fences at South Luangwa), but also his knowledge is amazing and his willingness to seek out animals we wish to see is fabulous.
We were lucky to witness a lion kill, something that was magical in a strange sort of way, but to witness nature in its rawest way was a privilege we will all remember forever.
A truly wonderful experience.

My husband and I stayed at luangwa river camp in July 2016 and the experience was so good we went again in August . From the service to the food to the guides, I cannot fault anything. Our guide Yona was incredible and we saw numerous kills. The rooms are so comfortable and clean with great views. The best lodge to stay in is number 2 - this has the better view out of them all. Great experience overall. Highly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Luangwa River Camp and would have loved to have stayed longer. We were very impressed with the staff, ambience of the camp, accommodation and the food. Our guide Yona had very good knowledge of the area and the fauna and flora. We had excellent viewings of four separate Leopards, saw Wild Dogs twice and Lions every day, plus myriads of other wild life. We would highly recommend this camp as they go above and beyond what you expect. Coming from Zimbabwe and being involved in the tourism industry there, we would happily bring other people to the camp.

Our family visited for our first safari experience and were blown away! The game was just amazing and our guide Yona was brilliant. We had close viewings of Leopards, Lions and Elephants that we will never forget! The staff in camp, Yvonne and Daudi were so friendly and the food was just wonderful. The breakfast brunch was an experience of a lifetime. All in all a wonderful time was had by all. We would highly recommend visiting.
