We visited on a Sunday to find out although open and still having to pay the full amount; the turtles had been moved away for extra food and checking (Could be seen but in a caged environment); The museum was closed, the shop was closed so only had a very small selection of bits in the ylang ylang distillery and the butterfly room was closed. We paid AR45000 each to go in and then had to pay the guide

We had Bertie as our guide and his English was very good a was informative throughout the tour. Seeing the animals and all the different types of Lemurs and understanding where they come from in Madagascar (Nosy be only has 2 types of lemurs).

It was interesting to see how they grow the ylang ylang trees to make it easier to collect the flowers for production. We purchased some ylang ylang as gift but as the shop was closed we were unable to purchase anything else.

Honestly speaking Lemuria Land is just a little zoo. It is clean and relatively cheap and you can get a tour in English, but nothing more than that. Lemurs are fed with Bananas to attract them making pictures with tourists. Very old turtles were also abused for stupid pictures. The local guides should have an eye on that!!!

The big national forest on Nosy Be was inaccessible due to flooding, so we settled for Lemuria Land. Prepare to be climbed on by lemurs! The old ylang-ylang distillery on site is also worth a visit.

Three generations of our family enjoyed this outing. Though lemurs are the attraction, we enjoyed a number of other animals as well. My wife even allowed a lemur to climb on her shoulder. Thomas, our guide, was outstanding. The brief tour of the ylang ylang manufacturing facility was also interesting.

Wonderful tour with English speaking, and knowledgeable, guide. The perfume distillery, and defunct rum distillery, are a learning experience. Of course the Lemurs, Chamelions, and other assorted reptiles are the highlight. Well laid out park, and to be recommende to anyone visitin Nost Be
