“Great place and people”
Reviewed February 25, 2014

We loved our experience diving with Plongee Toukoul. We are experienced divers who expect safe and professional diving experiences when we spend the money to dive on a vacation. Plongee Toukoul met our expectations and more! They are very safe dive guides - which is important when you consider the fact that there is no recompression chamber in Madagascar. The dives are great - really interesting biologically. Fish populations still seem quite healthy in this area of Madagascar, which is a welcome surprise after diving on so many overfished coral reefs. Great guides, great people, and fantastic dives. I'd happily go back.

“Very professional”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

Great experience. We had a group of three and are all experienced divers, but all like different things. It's the best diving experience I have had in relation to the equipment and professionalism. Beautiful people, you feel like you are one of the family. We were quite lucky as there was just us on the boat so if we wanted to change anything we could.

“Fun, friendly and lots to see”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

Natalie, Bruno and Pascal were great to dive with and exuded a typically intense but also laid back diver's passion! The kit was good quality, and diving etiquette/safety strict but low key. We saw rays but no sharks although these are quite common in the area. We did see lots of nudibranches - so many in fact that Bruno counted them and kept repeating to everyone "21 nudibranches - c'est extraordinaire!" We also saw shrimp, langoustine, pipefish, an eel and plenty of clown fish, although other fish were perhaps not as numerous as I expected. Highlight for me was Natalie's ear-cleaning treatment, which is nothing short of a miracle, and will remain her secret - you'll have to go there to find out! The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that although I as a solitary traveller got a very good welcome, others I know were turned away in favour of groups - understandable but I feel obliged to stand up for the little guy/girl!

Cathy thank you for your kindness. However, I want to explain the fact that we have not taken other divers : we take a maximum of 8 divers on the boat and that day, there was indeed a group of seven divers + you. So, it was impossible to take additional divers. This is a safety requirement. We proposed them another day but they had to leave. Now you know why we have not been able to take the other divers that day. See you soon. Nathalie
Nathalie

“Fantastic diving experience!!”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

Thanks a lot to every instructor at Plongee Toukoul! You are amazing. Each of you is so professional, easy going and fun to dive with, who make my diving experience unforgettable. As a person who have aqua-phobia at the beginning, I am so grateful to your professional instruction and generous encouragement that make me a PADI certified open water diver successfully in the end! I simply love diving ever since. From the training in the swimming pool to the real dive, I was impressed by the professionalism of Plongee Toukoul. Every singel detail reflects your professionalism, from the high quality equipment to great diving routes and considerable yummy snack and hot coffee/tea during diving break. Thank you so much to Nathalie! Without you I cannot dive into the water to witness the beauty of ocean, such as the clown fish, the lionfish and those colourful fish on vibrant coral reef. Paul Valéry, a French poet, philosopher and essayist, once said swimming was his love, the sea his lover. For me, diving was my love! Thank you!

“Best diving center and coolest family”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

At Plongee Toukoul, I simply found it is so cool to become a diver and it drives me to acquire the PADI certified open water diver here from a completely rookie diver during my holiday. Three lovely French guys made everything simple. You will not only learn diving skill here, but also their life style. I have made four dives in total and I can promise that all of instructors offer you strong safety feelings (maybe because of their French Air force experience). Between two dives, they also offer free fruits and hot beverages to keep you warm and energized. In a word, reliable stuffs, well maintained equipment, fair fee and beautiful view, I bet that you don't want to miss it in Madagascar.
