This place is the best resort you could imagine. It has top facilities, really nice ambience, amazing food, the staff were very friendly and professional. There are a lot of activities you could choose from. Perfect place for couples! Highly recommended!

My family and I spent seven nights from 1 July 2018 to the 8 July 2018 at this beach resort in Nosy Be. On arrival in Nosy Beat about 14:00, we were ushered into a rather small airport where we purchased our visas. Not that this airport has no aircon, so it becomes unpleasantly hot inside the building. Also note that it is advisable to make a price with the baggage handlers who offer to take your luggage to the car. If not you will be forced to fork out up to 100 Dollars if you did not settle on a price. They are unscrupulous and are out to rip you off if you give them a chance. After clearing customs, we were transferred to the hotel shuttle. It took us approximately 1 hour to reach the resort as the roads are treacherous and every few meters there are big potholes. The scenery however made up for the dreadful roadway. On arrival, we were assisted by Lee Anne. She gave us our room keys and escorted us to our rooms. The resort does not have a lift, so if you are placed on the first floor, you will have to climb the one flight of stairs. The only thing I can fault here is that there was no orientation. It might have been an idea for them to give us a pamphlet to remind us of eating times as well as all the activities that the resort offers. Also note that everything is in Italian.
Rooms: We were allocated room 239 on the first floor. This room had a beautiful sea view and it overlooked the ocean. The sunrise and sunset was spectacular from our balcony. The room was very spacious and clean. There was tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom had a spacious shower. The one thing that stood out was that this resort supplied liquid hand wash, which was good as I usually have to provide my own. Augustine cleaned our room daily and used the towel to make little works of art.
Food: This resort is fully inclusive, so all meals are included as well as the drinks. The drinks are served per glass or jug and not in a can or bottle. So if you are going out on an excursion it would be advisable for you to bring your own water bottle and just to refill it at meal times. The hotel needs to be commended for offering a halaal and gluten free menu for lunch and dinner.
Breakfast: Breakfast was excellent. There was a wide variety of food to choose from. We especially liked the different Italian breads and rolls as well as the different fruit on offer. There are also cakes and pastries for those who have a sweet tooth. Yogurt and salad is also available for those who want a healthier option.
Beach and pool: The resort has a private beach which is clean and peaceful and good for swimming. We got beach towels from reception every morning so that we could use it when we swam in the ocean or in the pool.
Tours: The resort offers a number of day tours as well as diving tours. We opted to use an outside tour company, as they were a lot cheaper than the resorts tours. It a good idea to shop around on the internet for tours and then compare prices.

On the whole we had a very relaxing stay at the Andilana resort and would recommend it to all our family and friends.

Room tip: Its always a good idea to get a sea facing room as the view of the sunrise and sunset is breadth-taking

Very good hotel, rooms and beach really clean. Good and nice staff, but mostly not English speaking. There are two beaches, one with music, second one calm, what is advantage. Small animal garden. Food excellent.
But today I’m shocked. During dinner there was a tree decorated with prosciutto ham slices. Before we came to the hotel I spent one week traveling through Magadascar and Nosy Be. I saw incredible poor people. Good cellary is here 40 Euro per month. Many children don’t attend schools because they have to work. In such a poor country wasting food for fun, for decoration is not acceptable! You should recpect food. Please change it!

We spent three weeks in Andilana with the family (full disclosure I am Italian, as most of the guests). This was the second time we spent our holidays here, the first being three years ago.
The place is wonderful, the climate is perfect (warm, but not too warm in the day, pleasurably cool in the evening, always with a breeze).
The hotel is great and the staff always attentive.
The scuba diving (Padi approved) is great, the beach pristine and the food abundant and delicious. The hotel offers a number of excursions (both on land, such as the north of Madagascar tour, and on sea - with lots of wonderful islands nearby).
We saw dolphins, whales and diverse and wonderful sea life scuba diving and snorkelling.
We travelled a lot in great sea places (Maldives, Seychelles, etc) but this remains a wonderful destination. The hotel, while not pretentious, allows for a diverse range of activities and is to be commended.
While the majority of the guests are Italian, all the staff is fluent in French and English
- so do not miss it.

We spent two nights at the beginning of our holidays, and two nights at the end of it. Between this, we went for a North Madagascar Tour. Andilana is a wonderful place, staff is kind, mainly local people, everybody speaking Italian. Diving and excursion teams are excellent. Beach is clean, beachchairs and towels always available. Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet excellent. In addition afternoon tea and biscuits buffet and aperitif buffet at swimming pool area. Pilipily restaurant, included for lunch, is a wonderful place to stay. Only negative remark: both second nights we had to claim for bathroom towels till 7 pm and only after asking to chambermaids we got them, not a big deal anyway. Several security men everywere. Excursions are well organized. A real paradise.
