“Great spot to relax”

Great small hotel which is fairly basic but has everything you need. An amazing beach with no hassle and the owners are very friendly and do everything to make your visit enjoyable.
The food is really good with plenty of fresh fish and pasta.
We were very luck and saw lots of turtles laying there eggs on the beach and Fanta has a great set up ensuring the eggs are safe. I would go back in a flash

Room Tip: Choose a room on stilts to get the sea breeze as natural aircon

We decided to stay here because of incredible reviews from friends, but were very disappointed in the end. The rooms looked nice at first glance, but there was a lingering smell of mold and sewage. While in the room we constantly felt damp. The rooms don't have hot water, which isn't an issue as many of the places on the coast don't, but the water here came out of the tap and shower brown. The rooms don't have ac, which again many of the places on the coast don't, but the room did have a ceiling fan.

The beach was covered in trash...more so than the other places we stayed on the coast. The food was exceptional sometimes (the pork dishes were phenomenal!), but the food was below average other times. Fanta's wouldn't have been as disappointing if we hadn't already stayed at much nicer places for much less money. Fanta's also didn't include breakfast, which was included at our other hotels. I say hotels, but I really basic mean beach hut accommodations. If you are in the area, go the extra distance to Axim...it'll be worth it!

This resort I have visited a few times and stayed in the hut type accommodation. We loved the sound of the sea and although no aircon the natural breeze through the windows did well and the sound of the sea just instantly made you relax.

Bathroom had no hot water but it you didn't really need it and the morning shower felt refreshing and wan't unpleasant.

Food was amazing I must be honest, and above average. I loved every meal and can't fault what I experienced.

We have been out the country but are back now so when in the area we will be visiting even if its to sample the menu.

The beech and the views are amazing. It can be a bit of a trek to get there but is worth it as its quiet and very relaxing. We spent there 5 nights during our trip in Ghana and had a great time. The bungalows are comfortable, the food is great and the owners, a French & Nigerian couple make a great team and know what they are doing.

Strongly recommended.

Admittedly, the rooms can be somewhat damp and i'd probably bring my own mosquito nets but the views, especially from the stilted houses are incredible. The food is excellent, they even make their own pasta. The beach is wild but great for some body surfing. It was by far and away our favourite spot in Ghana. We lived there for 2 years and visited 5 times. It's certainly not as quaint as it used to be and more people are coming there but Philipe and Fanta are very warm and kind and we always enjoyed ourselves. If you're lucky there's a good chance you'll get to see turtles too. Overall, for the price, I don't think anywhere can match it.

Room Tip: Go for the rooms on stilts as they are cooler and have fantastic views.

We stayed at Fanta's Folly for 11 nights over Christmas. We were in the middle of a 12 month trip and needed somewhere for a rest. Fanta's Folly fit the bill perfectly.

They are about an hour from Takoradi, the closest big town. You get to them down narrowing dirt roads that end at a beautiful white sand beach fringed with palm trees.

We were in the mid-range bungalow which is not luxurious (lumpy pillows, holes in the fly screen, wonky bed posts) but it's still very comfortable.

The highlight is the food. Freshly made pasta and pizza bases are delicious along with excellent fresh seafood.

Even when full it doesn't feel crowded. The staff couldn't be nicer and we have nothing but fond memories of our stay.

We stayed few nights at Fanta's Folly. It was very relaxing and quite. The rooms are very nice incl. the Veranda. We had the last bungalow in the row for one night and I can only recommend it.
The beach is clean around the place but quite rough.

Food was very good but I wouldn't call it oustanding.
