Interesting, we touched a croc, a bit freaky but well worth the 50 dalasi entry fee. We took a guide to show us where to go, it is located out of the way in the local poor area.

Museum has great deal of local interest. Our guide Sam had good knowledge of all displays which made the visit even more enjoyable.

Good little museum with info/exhibits showing lots of aspects of Gambian life. When we got to the pool didnt even notice the croc a few feet away from me as it blended in so well with the surroundings! The lad who took us round was very knowledgeable and we didnt hesitate to touch one, in fact my daughter held its hand.

Good experience this. If you’re staying in Bakau ask one of the local lads to take you there by foot, what an experience.
