“Wild Wings Raptor Experience”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

Very nice place to visit over again. Up close encounter with raptors and friendly volunteer staff. In the winter warm yourself by the fire and entire some hot chocolate. Rent snow shoes for a walk on the bird trail to feed the chick-a-dees. Have no idea what the "Jeffrey e" reviewer is talking about. It is not a restaurant.

“Up Close and Personal”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

At Wild Wings there are several birds that have been rehabilitated but can no longer live in the wild. The place is small but well kept and guides are very knowledgible. about the birds and bobcat that is in residence. A great place for very young children and adults alike.

Another must do while you are visiting is taking a walk into the wooded area nearby to see the many kinds of birds and animals that live there. Be sure to bring along some black oil seed and/or unsalted peanuts. While you stand quietly with the food in your out stretched hand a chickadee will come down to take his meal right from your hand. If you are lucky several other kinds of birds may join him.

The best time to feed the birds is in January or February after a fresh snowfall but other times are good too.

“Majestic Experience - Worth the Drive”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

Where can you honestly see a bald eagle face to face and her wing span is amazing. I was in awe as the beauty of this place. Wonderful experience for my 6 year old son. To be honest we were so impressed we are having his birthday party there. $75 will give you an hour guided tour and one hour in there party room. All the money will be given back to the birds, well worth the money to us. Fantastic place you should not miss!

“Small attraction in Mendon Ponds worth a stop!”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

Wild Wings serves as a site for rescued raptors--birds of prey such as eagles, falcons, owls, etc. They are a small, not-for-profit organization. My husband and I visited several years ago on a week day (check the web site for hours). Most of the birds are in cages, but throughout the facility, staff also had some birds out and available to interact with visitors. There is a small gift shop as well, and donations are appreciated. There is nothing fancy about this place, but it is definitely worth a visit if you love these animals! Also look for Wild Wings charity events; we attended a wine tasting in April 2011 held at Shadow Lake Country Club, and birds were featured there as well.
