I loved this place. The interior is very festive and well decorated. It was very clean inside. Excellent service. The food was excellent. Our meals arrived promptly. Parking available in a lot on the premises. Close to West Point Military Academy. The only bad thing was that there was a noisy party dining nearby us with lots of young children that were VERY loud. Of course, this isn't the restaurant's fault - just parents that don't make their kids behave in a restaurant. Sure, Mexican restaurants are fun and noisy, but they were too loud for late diners (8:00 p.m.). There were two other couples dining beside me and my husband.

Hacienda is one of the very best places to eat...near West Point, New York. That's unfortunately more of a reflection on the competition than the true quality of Hacienda. First off, the food isn't bad...it's actually relatively good, but if you're a mexican or southwestern cuisine enthusiast, be prepared to be underwhelmed. The service is very good to excellent with an emphasis on keeping your water glass filled. It's really why the restaurant is successful. Not a bad place to start, but when the place gets busy, it has all the challenges you can imagine. Now for the food, if you stick with the basics, enchiladas, beans, rice, you'll probably go away happy. When you begin straying, don't say I didn't warn you. The chicken taco salad is worthy of ordering if you're the taco salad type, but be prepared for it to taste more like Chinese food than Mexican food. As long as you're okay with that, then no issue.

In general, opt for the green sauce because the red sauce is more like ketchup than chile.

They will serve you a microwaved tortilla with white cheese to start. Not bad, but not great either. The chips are fresh and the salsa is pretty good, but only if you like cilantro. The ambiance is quirky with little crepe paper strips- thousands hanging from the ceiling with authentic Mexican furniture and ambiance. The wait staff is also Mexican so the basic recipe for success is in there somewhere. The portions are large and if you eat it all, you'll be stuffed like a chimichanga. I like the mexican glass-ware and the small coke bottles. They serve an adequate, but average margarita. Overall, the Hacienda is a pretty good choice in a town that has every right to be starving given the below average fare. Parking at peak times can be a challenge, and the place isn't much to look at from the outside, but if you start with a couple of Dos Equis and order light, you'll have a pretty good time. It is family friendly and groups can be accommodated.

Visited the Hacienda for a family gathering. Large groups are not always the easiest to serve due to the variety of orders and timing. The Hacienda staff did a great job, service was real friendly and food very good. We all had agree time. This was our first visit to this location, although we were previously at the Goshen, NY location several times. Both sites are tastefully decorated with a fun colorful atmosphere. Great Mexican food & style.

Food good and service was wonderful. The prices are average for restaurants in the area. The decor is beautiful, fiesta-ish. The mole both enchiladas and chicken entree was amazing; with a delicious deep, rich chocolate flavor.
However, the desserts are not homemade in the restaurant although stated they where.

Although there are many Mexican restaurants in the areas this place beats them all. The Fajitas are tops (beef or chicken) the enchiladas with gambas (shrimp) were excellent and the chocolate mousse cake is a ten, although the tres leches cake was a appointment.
