“So wonderful and relaxing!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

My husband and I wanted a nice place to stay that had a great location to many wineries and great restaurants and this place was perfect. It was our first bed and breakfast and we will definitely return. There is so much to do in the Hudson valley area that we didn't have enough time to get it all in. Nancy is so gracious and helpful and the breakfasts were delicious. The house is beautifully decorated and it is right on the walkway over the Hudson trail which is a must do. There are bikes there for you to use and the walkway bridge is truly a great experience.

My Mom and I wanted a quiet relaxing setting for our trip to the Hudson Valley. This beautiful inn definitely delivered everything we hoped for our stay. Nancy is wonderful, gracious and a gourmet cook. The room was immaculate, clean and with wonderful furnishings. Highly recommend this wonderful place!

We were looking to be somewhere near the Hudson and to have an area with lots of natural beauty and nice places to visit. This place was perfect, and the inn was the perfect place to stay. The room was lovely and clean. The breakfast was great. Sitting in the living room with the fireplace was nice. And its location was great, leading onto the Hudson River Walkway.
We were only there one night, and it was great!

My wife and I just returned from a trip across the state of NY. This was, hands down, the best place we stayed. It's really all about Nancy. She could not have possibly been more gracious as a host. We engaged in several conversations with her when she referenced the empathy of being a frequent traveler herself and understanding what she would like or not like to experience.

The Inn is immaculate and each piece of furniture and each piece of art seemingly made custom for the large home. our room was big and the bathroom had been completely renovated with marble floors and custom tiled shower floors. The attention to detail was remarkable.

Nancy provides a sign-up sheet for the desired breakfast time (so much nicer than a pre-set time) and then a choice of two breakfasts. The food was pure gourmet. The breakfast table was set in front of a huge window looking out onto the lush yard.

We arrived a bit late and had to rush out to dinner (at the Culinary Institute) and Nancy provided us with quick information and accurate details for driving.

We could not ask for a nicer stay. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

We returned this year for another four-night stay at the Inn. Location is quiet, rooms are large and bathrooms are roomy and up to date. Our bed was very comfortable. What brings us back is Nancy's hospitality and her wonderful breakfasts. This year we asked Nancy to host a large family brunch - she baked a ton of pastries, cooked, and opened her Inn to our group and everyone enjoyed the house, grounds and gardens. A great event!
While you visit, you must connect right from the Inn to the rail trail and walk down to the only pedestrian-only bridge across the Hudson River! Stunning Views!

I also enjoyed the walking path over the Hudson river. If we ever come to the area again we would love to stay here .

Nancy, keeps the Inn spotless and adds warmth to every room and to her delicious breakfasts! She is extremely helpful if you need help in planning logistics for your outings. We plan on going back. There is so much to do in the area and the Inn is conveniently located.

Room Tip: We upgraded to the room with the jacuzzi and it was worth it after long days of hiking.
