“Delicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2013

The food here was interesting and quite delicious!
There was nothing to dislike except for having eaten so much and not having enough room for dessert!

“Excellent experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2013

This place lies a short distance from where my oldest daughter has been living, and it is a gem. From the funky design, peppered with very interesting works of art to the furniture, which is work of art in itself, just the environment is worth a 5. But the lunch I had, the "Thanksgiving" rates with the best I have ever had, If you are ever in the vicinity, you must try this place out.

“It's 1969 In High Falls”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2013

Egg's Nest is not your typical small town bistro. The place is literally plastered with memorabilia, most of which looked to be from the 1960's. Some of the decor is eclectic, some historic, some just substance-induced. The entire place smelled (pleasantly) like incense to me. Some may find this distracting, but you have to go with the flow here. Lots of people came in while we were there, and most were obvious regulars. The menu is varied, with some interesting offerings. We found the soups tasty, but with small portions, even the bowl size. Good sandwiches and salads. Our server was very friendly and efficient, but she (sorry, this is a pet peeve of mine) put her fingers all over the rims of the glasses. The owner visited with us. He fits right in here, and customers appreciate his wonderful outlook. Our group had a very long lunch, lingering over coffee so we could talk. We never felt pressured. Very interesting and relaxing place.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We appreciate feedback, both positive and negative, (including pet peeves) as a way of knowing what we are doing right and areas where we need to improve. Customer input definitely makes a difference. We hope you stop in again, and if so, please say hello!

“quirky and fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2013

The Egg's Nest Saloon is a fun, colorful restaurant with an active bar, several dining rooms and something to look at in every square inch of this highly decorated night spot. There's no way you can be glum eating here because on top of the visual stimulation the food & service are good and pricing very reasonable.

“If Frida Kahlo and Norman Rockwell Had a Child Who Opened a Restaurant...”

Menu was a fascinating mix of tex mex and American classics - a turkey and stuffing sandwich with gravy and cranberry sauce! Food quality pretty good, service excellent, ambiance one of a kind. Every square inch of the place is brightly painted, collaged, and chatsky-ied out!!! Price is pretty good too. A must visit!
