What a beautiful old building tucked under the trees. My visit unfortunately was way too short (only one night) as I so much would have liked to enjoy the the peace and quiet a little longer. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. Falling asleep to the sound of the waterfall and katydids was so calming, and waking up with the beautiful trees right outside my room was a pleasant sight. I imagine it would be just as nice in any season.
This is way out in the country, so if you are looking for night action 500 feet away you probably want to go elsewhere.
Craig is a very warm, welcoming and accommodating host Waiting for me in my room were some squares of my favorite dark chocolate. There were also some games in the room. The room was well decorated with a colonial feel. In the morning there was a lovely tray of fresh fruit and granola bars, along with yogurt - the strawberries were just about the best I have ever had. I know there was coffee and an assortment of tea but i don't drink either so I can't comment on that.
Non-smoking is an added bonus.
I traveled with several family members to the area and we all stayed at different places. I think I won the prize in picking the best. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer.More
