4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

OK, we had low expectations, since we read a few reviews right after booking thru Travelocity. (Who selected a smoking room for us, thanks Travelocity! NOT!) We got a deal, and since we had a gift card to use, we decided to be adventurous & try it. First, it's a different experience than most hotels. Not a big lobby, no restaurant, pool, lounge, bar, etc. The attraction is the kitchen in your room; a real sink, real size fridge, electric cooktop, microwave, plenty of cabinets and counter space with utensils to use. Kitchen table/counter to work at is nice. If you're here for a few days, you'll appreciate this. Make a trip to Wegmans & stock up! Cleanliness was acceptable, though we're not fussy. Bed was comfortable, heat & A/C worked (curtains could be hung so as not to billow & catch air though) and the bathroom was average size. Everything worked, staff was very friendly & helpful. The place was very quiet overall, not surprising being well off the highway & not too busy.
So now for the negatives, which may seem picky to some. The bathroom was a bit odd. Let's start with the brown flecked texture paint on the tub/surround/sink. Looks like a small animal exploded. Eww! The toilet is oddly rigged for high water pressure, you have to be a beast to flush it. Towels are for small people (we're not that big!) and there was no hairdryer in the room. (Front desk gave us one when we asked, as well as more towels.) Grab & go breakfast is as advertised: prepackaged hi-carb goodies & coffee. If you're a breakfast person there are plenty of nearby eateries, or make your own.
Which brings up this topic: like a college dorm, there are those who are good at burning food late at night! The fire alarm went off one night we were there, and staff should be commended for handling this very well. Fire dept. members in Henrietta get kudos as well for their sense of humor.

Room Tip: If you book thru 3rd party, call hotel & clarify anything that might be important to you.

The place is sort of tucked away around a strip mall parking lot. Room was open and roomy enough for two. Amentities in room are enough for two. May have to go to front desk if something is missing. I only wonder why any hotel I have stayed at does not supply bathrooms with antibacterial soap. I hope cleaning staff use cleaners that will kill anything that would obviously spread in between guests that stay. The grab and go breakfast is availiable but it seems to be first come first serve and if your late getting there your loss. Would be nice if it would be refilled so more guests have a chance to get something.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. I am so glad that you liked your spacious room and the amenities we had to offer. Still, I am sorry that our grab-and-go breakfast did not meet your expectations. Please know, I am working with the staff to ensure we replenish it on a more regular basis so that all of our guests get to enjoy the items available.

Thank you for choosing Extended Stay Hotels. We hope to see you again soon.

Having been very disappointed and dissatisfied with other hotels in this chain, I was not thrilled to have it assigned through a "name your own price" website. I was pleased to discover this particular ESA was quite clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Booking website did not get the info to the hotel, so there was a delay at check in. Clerk "upgraded" me to two separate twin beds (ESA's standard is one queen bed and separate beds are extra, which would have been ok, but I preferred separate beds). Beds were comfortable. Kitchenette was generally clean although exterior of fridge was a bit grungy. Breakfast, while appreciated, is somewhat less than other hotels offering free breakfasts. ESA provided some packaged muffins, granola bars, instand oatmeal, and apples/oranges. Not a great selection, but better than nothing. Close to fast food and a grocery store, which made having a kitchenette a bonus.

Is it a great hotel with tons of amenities? No, but for a lower priced hotel, it serves its purpose and does so well. I wouldn't pay full retail for one of the rooms, but if you can get a discount to below $45-50/night, it's a decent hotel at that price.

Room Tip: Believe it or not, I was just down the hall from the front desk on the first floor and it was quite...

We stayed one night at this hotel during a NFL trip to Buffalo.
We choosed this hotel because we wanted to stop for sleeping before arriving in Buffalo. This hotel is 1h from Buffalo and located near the I90 NY Thruway.
We booked this hotel from Priceline Express Deal at 50$.
The room looks like a student appartment, with an equiped kitchen (fridge-freeze, stove top, microwave, sink, pans, plates, ustensils, etc,), a table with 2 computer chairs, a recliner, a flat screen TV, A/C, one bed.
The room and the bathroom was clean.
The room was not soundproof, we heard the TV from the next room and we heard people walking over our heads.
We ran out of toilet paper, and there was no hairdryer in the room.
So I recommend this hotel for a cheap stay on the road.

Room Tip: Choose the top floor if you don't want to heard people walking over your head

I want to thank you for taking the time to post a review of your stay. We appreciate you letting us know that you heard some noise throughout your stay and your thoughts on not having hairdryers in the rooms. We are sorry for this issue. We do offer hairdryers and toiletries for guest at our front desk. If you choose to stay with us in the future, you may request an upper level room prior to check-in to avoid some of the noise and we will try our best to accommodate your request. Still, we are happy to read that you were able to take advantage of our full-kitchen.

Once more, thank you for posting your review. We look forward to having you visit with us again in the future.

Stayed here for about a week during June.

First impression was disappointment; dark room, fluorescent (think of factory) lighting and brown carpeting and drapes to match the drab atmosphere -- certainly not impressing. Then I found some toenail clippings on the carpet which suggested somebody didn't spend enough time cleaning the room.

After getting over the initial upset and having staff clean the place again, it wasn't so bad. Kind of reminded me of the student apartment I used to live near R.I.T. , so it felt kind of like home after all. Even the somewhat noisy AC and fridge looked similar to the ones we had all those years ago.

Despite the room being next to the elevator, I never ever heard any noise from the corridor or neighbouring apartments so I guess the soundproofing was more than adequate. Sometimes I would even expect a visitor and not hear them until the knock on the door. Parking was also plenty enough and close to the entrances.

So with these mixed feelings I'll say this Extended Stay was a solid "average" in my books.

We stayed there for a night. Rooms are okay and housekeeping is average. Initially when we checked in, they gave us a room which was not made up; Bed sheets and towels were dirty. Later they changed our room which was OK and manageable. They do complimentary simple grab and go breakfast (coffee, apple, bars, etc.) which is not so bad. Our room was equipped with mini kitchen. Front desk staff was really helpful. I would say overall this is not so bad considering our stay was only for a night.

We booked two rooms for personal visit over labor day holiday. 1st contact was with Carmen at the front desk who was super friendly, and accomodating. because our rooms were booked through Priceline.com, the rooms Carmen explained they were single bed rooms. One of our parties required a double bed room and Carmen made that happen. She was also outstanding throughout our stay, following up to make sure we were happy with the accommodations. The room were clean, comfortable and well maintained, and although room service is an extra charge the hotel makes it easy to exchange towels daily. Breakfast is a bit spartan, but overall a great stay and travel value!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay. I'm so pleased to hear that Carmen was so courteous and accommodating during your stay and that the front desk made the exchange of towels a smooth transaction. I am happy to hear that your hotel room met your standards of comfort and cleanliness. Still, I am sorry to hear that our grab-and-go breakfast did meet your expectations; this is a fairly new program and we will keep your comments in mind for future updates.

Thank you again for your review. We look forward to seeing you in the future, should your travels bring you back to our area.
