“Best of the Best”

We stayed there for three nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The breakfast is top notch and I challenge anyone to find better. To top off our experience, the views and location are the best of the best.

This lovely Inn was a great pick. The home is beautifully decorated and lovely. The view of the Vineyards and the lake are great. The location is ideal for wine tasting, watkins glenn and taking a ride on the Schooner at the marina . Even though the Inn is on a busy road the house is very quiet. Our room the Vintners' was in the back and just wonderful. There's a great path for walking in back of the house which Irish the resident black lab may be allowed to go with you. Words cannot describe the breakfasts. Ted prepares a country breakfast which is just wonderful. We have stayed at many B&B's and this is by far the best breakfast ever!! There are a number of very good restaurants in the area. Ted and Terry are very helpful with recommendations. If your in the area this Inn is a must.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful

My wife and I stayed here as we passed through wine country in the finger lakes region. We stayed in the Rose room and enjoyed it very much. Cozy and very pretty. The hosts were great, very friendly and warm. Breakfast was decadent and marvelous, sincerely the most pleasurable I've had yet at a BnB. Creative visually and even better to the taste. The house is also centrally located in the wine region so its easy to get to many fantastic wineries and Watkins Glen. Our room, among others, had a private balcony section with a nice view of the lake which only enhances a wonderful stay at Magnolia Place.

Room Tip: Lakeview is splendid from the house.

We spent two nights at Magnolia Place with two other couples. The B&B is in an attractive older house with gracious common rooms and attractively decorated bedrooms. Rooms in the front have a beautiful view over Seneca Lake. Ted and Terri were gracious, helpful and experienced hosts. Ted prepared a great breakfast each morning. I can highly recommend the peach pancakes! It is just a short drive in either direction for a wide choice of wineries to visit. We would definitely recommend this spot to our friends.

Just outside Watkins Glen but convenient for the State Park which is a must if you are in the area, with numerous other parks and Ithaca an easy drive. We chose the Lake Room because we loved the colour scheme but the whole house had a very good feel about it.Terri and Ted were very welcoming hosts and the breakfast was amazing.

When my fiance and I were heading up to visit some family on Lake Seneca, we decided to take a night alone to enjoy the area. We were deciding between a handful of enticing places to stay when a personal recommendation helped us settle on Magnolia Place. I can't be happier that we did.

I called to verify our reservation with Ted, one of the inn keepers, and I immediately felt comfortable; he has a clever, friendly way about him. He also turned out to be a remarkably inventive cook! The morning of our stay we were greeted with fresh fruit, homemade corn bread, apple fritter French toast, sunrise soufflé and fresh coffee.

The house is beautiful, with exquisite furnishings that were expertly chosen for each room so that it has a distinct flavor and feel. It's too bad that inclement weather didn't allow us to take advantage of the trails around their extensive property. The view of the lake and vineyards below is spectacular. It was too cold to enjoy an inviting two-story wrap around porch, which I suspect would be a great place for a glass of wine in the summertime. We were just as pleased to snuggle up to a fire on the couch downstairs and converse with another couple that was visiting.

I don't have enough nice things to say about our time there. Terry and Ted run an exceptional business in their home. They are very hands on and make themselves available for whatever their guests may need, but not in an oppressive way. They are personable and will engage in animated conversation if they sense their guests are social (as we are). Their first priority is evidently that you enjoy yourself.

Stay with Terry and Ted if you're the type to enjoy being pleasantly surprised.
