My husband, 5-year old son and I stayed here for 2 nights during a football game weekend at West Point Military Academy. The B&B is a beautifully restored home within walking distance of the downtown area of Haverstraw. Each room is very well decorated, and our bed along with the linens was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The owners set up a twin size Aero inflatible bed for our son so that we could all sleep in the same room (no add'l charge for our child). Although it was a bit crowded, we were all very comfortable. The owners -- whose names escape me right now -- are a very friendly husband/wife team. Breakfast was excellent both days and the price was very attractive. We felt it was a very good value. There's a bit of a dearth of accommodation in the West Point area. Haverstraw is about a 20 minute drive south of the academy, so it's not too inconvenient. Haverstraw itself is not a destination in and of itself, in fact it's a pretty ratty town. But if you find yourself looking for a nice place to stay in the Hudson River Valley, you can't go wrong with the Bricktown Inn.
