Indian Cove is a chalet-style restaurant that overlooks Shinnecock Canal. Indian Cove is a marina as well as a restaurant, so the water sparkles and the inlet is alive with all kinds of boats. Guests opt for al fresco patio dining upstairs or indoor, glassed-in dining downstairs. We each chose the $26 three-course prix fixe menu, and paid an extra $2 each for 1-1/4 lb steamed lobster dinners with vegetables and bolied red potatoes. I had the house salad which was huge, so we split it. The blue cheese dressing was delectable. My partner had the New England clam chowder which was also delicious. The accompanying crusty rolls were also tasty. The first two wines we selected were not available, but the one we finally settled on was very good. Unfortunately we didn't leave room for dessert which was included, but had we, I'd have tried the bread pudding with blueberry and apple vanilla ice cream, although the tiramisu with caramel sauce sounded awfully tempting. The only downside to our evening was an unseasoned wait staff. We assumed the summer help had returned to college and a new crew was being broken in.
