We rented a 2 bedroom cottage for 2 couples. It had 1bdrm with a queen size, and 1bdrm with 2 twins. We pushed the twins together. The bathroom was modern, clean and had sufficient hot water and pressure. The towels were full size and soft. I am usually leary about linens ,when not staying in a 5 star hotel. I was surprised and satisfied. The bed was comfortable, the sheets were high thread count and the Quilt was beautiful. The layout was a little tight but, comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped and there was air conditioning in the larger room and living/diningroom. There was s screened in porch, Hammock and BBQ pit with picnic table in the yard. The cottage supplies board games and there is a pool and play ground if you have children.

Room Tip: You may want to ask for a cottage not close to the road, we were able to hear traffic periodically.

This is the second year that my Grand-daughter and I stayed here. She goes in the front door of our room and out the back slider to play in a great sand box, on the swing and monkey bars. You are met by either Eileen or Kevin who own the place, and for the 5 days we were their, they were pleasant, always asking if they could do more for you. The grounds are keep perfect and the pool is very clean. Kevin gives tennis lessons, that you can arrange before you go or while you are their. Both last year and this year, my Grand-daughter had them daily. He seems to know how to work with children. I also find that this is a very safe and happy place for a Grand-mother and Grand-child. Another reason I enjoy staying here, is you get to know the owners, watch them work. I have stayed in many of the commercial hotel chains, but the personal service you receive here, keeps us coming back. We have already booked again for next. year. In one of Trip Advisers questions they ask if this is a romantic hotel, we found this hotel as friends had a destination wedding here. Everyone had a great and wonderful time.

Room Tip: We rented a room, with a queen size bed, they have other rooms with additional beds and cottages with screen porch and BBQ's

Another successful vacation at Bowen's by the Bays in 2015. Can't say enough good things about this place. It just feels like home. Grilling almost every night and eating outside at picnic table right outside our own cottage. Doesn't get any better. Kids really enjoyed the pool this year. And when we weren't spending time in the cabin as a family there is plenty to do around the town within walking distance or a short drive (beach, restaurants, movie theater, etc.). Can't wait to go back next year!

Leaving Bowen's by the Bays we had only wished we had planned a longer stay. With three generations including myself, my two grown daughters and my grandson, it is our tradition to get away for a few days together when we can to spend family time.

My two-year-old grandson enjoyed the sand boxes, swings, pool and hammock. We loved the screened-in porch, cleanliness of the cottage and lovely grounds. It was truly a tranquil setting. The management, especially Eileen was helpful and welcoming.

Even though we were inside private grounds, every convenience was right outside the property. We were not far from Montauk or Greenport which we visited on a lovely sunny day. The area restaurants provided good food, and we also enjoyed sharing meals in the cottage.

We are not new to the area, and Bowen's by the Bays did not disappoint.

We will be back!

We stayed for only one night in a one bedroom cottage and wished we could have stayed longer. Upon driving up to check in, I was impressed by how well the property was maintained. You can tell the owners take pride in the property. The cottage itself had a nice deck, a full kitchen with a dining area and a separate bedroom that had a queen size bed, tv and a small sofa. There was 2 ac units that worked very well. The cottage was very clean and I was happy to see there was no carpet anywhere. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything you need to prepare meals. Outside there was a charcoal bbq. If you are looking for a luxurious spa like retreat than this is not for you, but if you are looking for a clean, comfortable and exceptionally well maintained property where you feel instantly at home than I highly recommend Bowen's by the Bays.
