I visited Dr. Frank's towards the end of the Keuka Holidays wine tour and was the 6th of the 7 wineries visited that day. It did not disappoint and I did indeed buy a bottle of their semi-sweet Riesling which my friends highly recommended before I went on the trip. It was crowded due to the holiday event, but it appears they have a lot of room to accommodate the crowds. Their mini-Thanksgiving feast for their food-pairing with the wines was very creative and different from the other six wineries, it stood out. The people were very attentive while you tasted the wine. I rate this winery #2 that day, only behind Hunt Country. Very pleased. I shall return as I am only 3 hours away.

Well worth the visit to one of the most established wineries in the Finger Lakes. Tastings are handled differently here as there is controlled access into the tasting area preventing overcrowding. (We visited on a weekend, maybe it’s different at other times.) Tastings were done in small groups using Riedel glasses! We had a knowledgeable, engaging and helpful server who spent time with us at the end and gave us the opportunity to taste some additional wines. And the tasting is complimentary too. Lovely setting and views across Lake Keuka. The wine was all well-made and we left with several souvenirs!

20 years and counting.....
This was our 20th anniversary year visiting the Finger Lakes. We are six friends from Central Pennsylvania and North Carolina. It is always same time next year and what a blessing it is to visit this beautiful part of the US with your five best gal pals.
We always save Dr Franks for the last day so we can savor the memory of beautiful wines and good friends. We have known George for 19 of our 20 years and he is knowledgeable, kind and an asset to the winery. We were so pleased to have him as our guide to the best wines in the Finger Lakes and arguably the best reislings anywhere. They all have to measure up to Dr Frank!

We were sorry to hear that Bill is no longer at the winery. He treated us with great respect and challenged us in the very best way to learn more about the wines of the Finger Lakes each and every visit.

There are many exciting places to visit and wine to taste most everywhere you travel in this special place. While you are on Keuka Lake check out a new winery named Domaine LeSeurre on State Road in Hammondsport. The Gewurztraminer is a rare treat as is the Chardonnay Unoaked. This your couple just starting out are keepers.

Bon voyage! Sante!

We have been visiting the Finger Lakes and Dr Frank's winery for approximately 20 yrs. We usually take people to Frank's first to 'show off' their wonderful wines and hospitality early in our trip. We called ahead since there were 10 of us and arrived around 10 30AM to an empty tasting room and offered to become 2 small groups for easier accommodation..
We were immediately put on notice they were expecting several other groups. We expected the usual: good pours, pleasant informative banter and a large selection of wine to choose from. Instead we got a robotic announcement from our female pourer reminding us of the groups coming (we NEVER did see them) and our STRICT limit to 5 tastings due to state law. It was the first time that law was ever stated to us at any place in the Finger Lake region . We were treated like a bunch of Cornell freshman trying to get a free wine high instead of a group of AARP members who buy multiple cases every time we have been there.
Did we buy wine? Yes; were we disappointed ? Yes; will we go back of course. I can only assume this was an unfortunate anomaly and the superior service will be there next time.

Classic wine tasting experience in the Finger Lakes at Dr. Konstantin Frank. The area has got to be serious about the white varietals, especially Rieslings, and this winery delivers. Beautiful setting, looking over Keuka Lake. Liked the Gruener Veltliner, Pinot Noir-- for the area-- not too bad.
