They offer a free tasting, which is rare!! However, it is worth the $10 to purchase the 6 tastings of premium wines.
We started off with Fred Frank, grandson of Constantine, who was an absolute delight. He is very knowledgeable about the wines, the industry, and other fine wineries. Fred was relieved of duty when one of the regular servers came back from a meeting. I cannot recall her name, but she was outstanding.
Overall, great tasting and visit

We came at the recommendation of friends. The wines were very good, better than some other wineries we visited this trip. We did the standard tasting and felt a little more rushed here than other places. But our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Am guessing they have a large volume of visitors, so they need to move things along. Might try the premium tasting another time to give them a chance to really shine

Thank your visiting us! Definitely try our 1962 Reserve Tasting next time. It's less structured and allows you to choose your own path.

Dr Franks offers a spectacular view overlooking Keuka Lake from their well manicured grounds. The tasting room is large and they have a great selection of wines and gifts to choose from. The staff was cordial and quite helpful considering we walked in 15 minutes before closing. They didn't hesitate answering our questions and making sure we had a good experience in their tasting room. Definitely worth stopping at again.

This winery is family owned and run. While tasting samples of their wines the person pouring the samples gave us a history of the winery. If you like wineries this is one you should stop and taste. It's on Keuka Lake over looking the lake. Beautiful view.

The wines were good. The experience was ok, a little sterile though. We went for the standard tasting. Next time I would try the premium tasting for a more intimate experience.

We stopped in here on our tour. They have a beautiful view of the lake from here. You can try five wines at no cost if you like. Some of tbem were very good. This place was very busy but they have a very large sampling room.

We had visited over a dozen wineries in the on Seneca Lake and Keuka Lake. This was by far the best. Was so impressed we joined the wine club. Would compare favorably to Sonoma or Napa.

Had to wait 25 minutes to have a $10 tasting. Mud puddles in parking lot. Very disappointing. Did not stay.

Hi Tammy,

Sorry to hear that you couldn't enjoy a tasting with us. On busy weekends we will have a wait for tastings. We'd love to hear if you have any suggestions on how we could make the time while waiting for a tasting better.

Thanks!

5 of us stopped by for a tasting on Tuesday October 9th around 11am. We opted for the complimentary tasting. All the wines were very good. The young gentleman that did the tasting provided us with some interesting information about some of the more unique wines offered.
The whole experience was great until we went to purchase our wine with Justin. An older couple came in for a tasting and he said you have two options without even explaining the difference to them. Then when we checked out with our 6 bottles, we asked him for a emply case and he said, "No. You have to buy 12 bottles to get a case." First time I've ever heard that in the five years I've been visiting the Finger Lakes. His tone was not very cordial.
Would have easily been a 5 star rating. We will return. The wine is too good not to.

Hello Rod,

We're so sorry to hear about your check-out experience with Justin. This is obviously not our policy and was clearly a judgment error on his part. Please email me personally when you decide on a return visit. We would love to do something special for you.

Possibly one of the best dry Riesling's in the US. Free tastings for the standard wine's. If you like the sweet stuff this is not for you. If you want excellent Riesling give it a try.
