The Rosehaven Inn in Haines Falls is an amazing place. The 1889 house has been restored to perfection! There are 4 bedrooms in this house for guests. Each room is diiferent, and has a different style. They are all amazing. Great for a romantic getaway, especially with each room having a jaquzzi. From there you are in walking distance to Haines Falls Waterfall, and Kaaterskills Falls Waterfall. Also within walking distance is the North/South Lakes with many great paths to walk!
You are also within a 20 minute drive to either Hunter Mountain, or Windham Mountain, which are great for skiing or hiking. You also get complimentary drinks in the room, and sweets. Each morning you are greeted at the dining table for breakfast, and you have a nice selection of choices for a fresh homecooked breakfast. The price is better than most inns/motels in the area, and you have the comfort of home!! Who can beat that !!

I stayed at the Rosehaven Bed and Breakfast with my girlfriends in July. I have never seen an inn more lovingly and impeccably restored and decorated. The innkeeper is a bright, educated and established pro who has run many inns and knows what the guests are looking for. The rooms all have huge jacuzzi tubs and showers, fireplaces and comfortable bedding. The breakfast was wonderful. Be sure to take the 20 minute walk around the historic community that this lovely inn sits amidst. You will see an array of beautiful houses and gardens clinging to the cliffs of the escarpments overlooking the valley. We hiked directly from the inn for hours, passing three waterfalls and never seeing another soul.

While trying to find a weekend getaway, my husband and I searched many Bed and Breakfasts. When we saw the pictures of the Rosehaven, we thought this is the one. Having never stayed in a Bed and Breakfast, we were very uncertain of what to expect. My husband made reservations with the innkeeper (Kelly) and had a good vibe by just talking with her on the phone(not to mention we weren't keeping track of time and called her around 9:30pm and she anwsered). When we pulled up the winding mountain road and saw the outside we simply fell in love with place. Kelly's home is beautiful! We had a choice of two rooms and let's just say I had a difficult time choosing - there were both decorated beautifully. We stayed in Room 4 and can't wait to return to stay in the other 3 rooms. The Rosehaven was more than we could of ever imagined! We stayed 2 nights and got to enjoy breakfast with a full house one morning and then a more personalized breakfast for two the second morning. Kelly is a wonderful cook and host! My husband and I ate everything on our plates. We are already making plans to return in the fall. This was the perfect getaway!

  • Liked — Rooms were tastfully decorated and clean!
