When I went to this campground most of the sites had tents. Not a lot of RV type campers. The place was great, clean and well patrolled by the rangers. No noise after quiet time. THEY ARE VERY STRICT WITH LEAVING UNATENDED FOOD AND COOLERS and rightfully so as its for the protection of all the campers from the Black Bears in the area. I observed to sites get issued warnings for leaving unattended food out and the second offense you get asked to leave. I was very impressed at how diligent they enforced this because it affects everyone. Entire park staff were very polite and informative. They sell firewood at the front gate. ($8 big bag kiln dried) Bathrooms-showers were hot, and pretty clean, not holiday inn clean but clean for a campground. No disappointments here. If you are looking for a place to go to get your teenager off the computer and cell phone then this is it. Limited cell and internet service so kids actullly will talk (lol) not text. GREAT hiking trails, beautiful lake. I stayed in loop 4 site 121, partial shade, qiuet loop but a little far from the lake. Mostly all the sites are level in loop 4 and all have at least partial shade. I will definately return to this campground as its one of the most tranquill and picturesque I have visited.
