“What a gem!”
Reviewed May 19, 2014

By dumb luck my husband and I found the Frisky Oyster and ended up with one of the best dinners we have had in a long time. For a small restaurant, I was surprised at the variety on the menu. I started with the lobster quesadilla. It was full of fresh flavors and lobster. The homemade guac that accompanied it was wonderful! The veal chop was cooked to perfection! For dessert, I went with the salted caramel pecan pie-wow! I couldn't have asked for a better meal. Will definitely go back on our next visit.

“Creative and Delicious Food”
Reviewed January 31, 2014

The North Fork of Long Island is a treasure trove of restaurants, vineyards, fresh produce, and organic products. The Frisky Oyster is one of the very best restaurants to present all of these in a great setting that showcases the riches of this region. The grilled lobster quesadilla is succulent and substantial. Calamari were crispy and very tasty, served with aioli. The sea scallops were absolutely delicious, and came with curried cous cous and a yogurt raita. Do not pass up the shaved brussel sprouts! They are unbelievable! They are prepared with lemon and walnuts. So delicious! The wine list highlights the wines of the area with a wonderful selection to satisfy a variety of tastes. Oh, and of course, you have to have the oysters. This place is a definite must!

“Girls' Night Out”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

A group of 7 of us dined here after a day of tastings. We had a reservation, and we were lucky we did because it was packed. Positives: food variety and cocktails. I had the short ribs and while full of flavor, they were extremely dry and needed more sauce. Negatives: overpriced, small, crowded, expected more of a local wine list. The tables are jammed together so it is very loud. Definitely going for the hipster, trendy, swanky vibe, which isn't my thing.
