“a bit over rated”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

known as THE breakfast place in Geenport, this location was a bit of a let down. The food is average at best, the place is over crowded and there is little convenient parking. any suburban LI diner will easily beat this place.

“Old time luncheonette, updated food”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

This IS a corner luncheonette from the 1950s (or earlier?). But the food is updated. We had very good light omelets with very good orange juice and toast. Interesting home fries with onions and peppers. Fast, friendly service. Bathrooms very clean. Good people watching from a booth of the sidewalk outside.

Sandwiches looked good, but we were attracted by the breakfast-all-day. Years ago they had wonderful REAL milk shakes. Didn't sample the current ones on this trip.

“Fast Food”
Reviewed December 23, 2011

If you like open table seating with booths next to a window, the sound of dishes clanging and thrashing around in the kitchen, this is your kind of place, it is definitely a “diner” atmosphere. If you want just eggs and a hamburger, nothing exotic, get in and get out service, it won’t disappoint.

“1950's lunch”
Reviewed December 10, 2011

It looks like a corner luncheonette from the 1950s. The menu reflects that but it is good for what it is. The best part is they make their own potato chips that are served with sandwiches like tuna salad or BLTs. Gret for lunch in a booth or on a counter stool that swivels, like in the olden days.
