We really needed a weekend away with the kids so we choose Memorial Day Weekend. Although it rained the entire time, we couldn't have asked for a better location. From the welcoming service to the great food, all was excellent. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable. We loved the 50s decor (except for the restaurant chairs which are really uncomfortable and a bit clumsy). The location is central so we never needed to take the car. Next time, we hope to be able to use the pool and hot tub!

We were greeted by friendly courteous staff who provided quick and easy check in. The rooms are clean with comfy bed. Located just a short walk to shops, restaurants. We like to visit area wineries so have stayed at Greenporter many times and alway enjoyed. There was a nice continental breakfast included with our stay.

We have stayed at the Greenporter a few times and it's always a great time. The location is great, you can walk
to all the restaurants and bars, no need to drive. The rooms are always clean and the Cuvee restaurant is warm and friendly.

The Greenporter had vacancies for a good value on a last minute trip to Greenport, LI. I must admit, I was sad when I saw the type of hotel- rather, a motel with rooms whose doors led to the outside instead of a central hallway. That for me would have been a deal breaker. But there were many positives, too. The room itself was clean, big and modern. The pillows were wonderful and the mattress was nice. A huge tub was in the bathroom, that was also a plus. What was great was the fact that on 2 occasions, the front desk people were of great help. Unfortunately, we had very noisy guests in the room next to us the first night- we complained and the front desk was on top of it and reassured us they would handle the problem. The other wonderful thing is that they let us check out late our last day with no extra charge.

We stayed here in early December. The rooms are simple, but nicely laid out and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfy! Flat screen TV and fridge are available in the room, although we didn't use them. Staff was very friendly and helpful, extending both to the hotel and the adjacent bistro/restaurant, called Cuvee, where we had breakfast (included) and dinner. Excellent food selection, and local wines (which can be a little dicey, but some of them are quite good). Also, we didn't know it beforehand, but it was "Shellabration" weekend in Greenport. All the restaurant had seafood appetizer specials, and bar/bistro/restaurant hopping made for a very nice afternoon occupation. Overall we had a very nice stay, and we'll be happy to come here again.

This was our first time trying this hotel. We decided to stay overnight in Greenport after a meal at our favorite restaurant, Noahs, which is a very quick walk down the street.
Upon entering our room after checking in, we were thrilled to find that the heat was already on and the room nice and warm and cosy on a very cold winter evening. This touch instantly made us happy! The room was simple, spotless, and very comfortable. There was even a small fridge. My husband was happy to find that there was regular cable TV as opposed to direct TV like most hotels have. The toiletries were very nice, upscale. We were offered fresh coffee in the lobby in the AM(It was off season weekday so no breakfast, but we were already aware of that)which we were grateful for. The staff is fantastic. We will definatley return .

My husband and I are from the east end and we stayed in the Greenporter after a beautiful wedding in Greenport and decided to stay and spend the night on the North Fork rather than drive home to the South Fork.
The utility workers were there to help with "Sandy" and were very loud as they all tried to relax after a long, hard day giving people back their power. We could not sleep at all. The walls were so thin and then they all got up at 3am to go to work again and I mentioned this to the manager in a phone call since there was no-one in the office the whole next day to a holiday (Veterans Day). I said I would not want my $$ returned but would love another night to stay on the North Fork to relax for our troubles. She said that she would get back to me and talk to the owner.
She called me back and basically told me I was a liar, b/c the grounds person was there and heard no noise and no-one else complained. She offered me a complimentary cocktail. Really? I have never been so insulted and would never go back again, certainly not drive all the way to the North Fork to get a free drink at a hotel that insinuated I lied about the evening. I did mention this to the grooms mom who lives on the North Fork and she was upset because she recommended this hotel to me.

We are very sorry to hear that the customer did not enjoy their stay at the hotel. We pride ourselves on accomodating all of our customers regardless of the purpose of their stay. Some of our wedding guests are up later in the night celebrating and some are up earlier in the mornings to go to work. Nonetheless we have a resident manager available 24 hours to tend to the needs of our customers and assist in cases where we have control. Our hotel that weekend was a 50/50 mix of wedding guests and Sandy disaster recovery specialists and have received accolades for our customer service in juggling everyone's needs during such a difficult time.
